Took my granddaughter for fish and chips on Friday, food was fresh & hot and tasted great. Excellent portion size, well worth the money so i Went back Saturday it was so good. Will be making this our take away place. Burgers are very tasty. Highly recommended by me.
Good old school fish, chips, burgers etc. Have been going here regularly for many years and food is always consistent quality, it gets really busy so sometimes there is a wait but this does not affect the quality of the food, its always great regardless of how busy they are.
Rude old woman. Needs to learn customer service skills or hang up her apron. All the fish comes frozen. Best fish and chips is at Nowra fresh, where the fish is actually fresh and the scallops are made in house
Honestly the closest thing I have found to an old school chippy.
The taste of the chips brings back childhood memories of getting a $2 bag of chips and feeding you and a few mates, that’s what you get with Harry’s a generous serving of great tasting chips.
Scallops are awesome and so are the battered savs.
I have been looking for years for the taste I remember and this is it.
I highly recommend stopping in for lunch, they also do a good range of burgers and seafood.
Great place for takeaway, price is right and size of meals are good.

I have to say, the chips at Harry’s Takeaway are honestly the best ever — perfectly crispy, hot, and full of flavour. I’d go back just for those!
However, the service really let the experience down. When I went in, I didn’t realise I was supposed to shut the door, and when I apologised, I was yelled at in a really rude way. It wasn’t a polite or understanding tone — it was harsh and unnecessary. I genuinely couldn’t hear her properly, but instead of being kind about it, I was screamed at. It made me really uncomfortable and took away from what could’ve been a great visit.
If the staff were a bit more respectful, this place would easily be five stars because the food is that good.
OMG this place is amazing. We have lived in the area for years and had given up on having any nice fish and chips. We feel silly now since finding Harry’s as it’s truly something special and so rare to find these days. Wish it was opened 7 days lol
It’s a shame about the attitude this place has. Food is great…. But I’m sorry to say that I have witnessed the lady with the purple hair being blatantly rude and short with anyone she doesn’t personally recognise. This sort of behaviour towards paying customers is disgraceful. Not to mention all the rude little signs on the counter to warn you that she’s ready to be rude to you. It’s extremely uncalled for and hard to watch for the people waiting for orders that have just supported your business. I don’t when this sort of thing because comfortable for this business. So doesn’t even seem to want to be there. Your customers deserve better than a grown woman acting like a spoilt toddler for no reason
