Wow! Do yourself a favour and pay Sweet and Salt a visit! Everything you want out of a milk bar burger! The Bowral Burger does not disappoint, tasty, hot traditional hamburger with all the trimmings that is well put together… tasty in every bite. Hot fluffy crunchy chips ! Very glad to see the bonus scallop – all wrapped up in butchers paper – classic! In a world of fancy burgers, you can’t go past a classic!
Great burgers made tidy but still bloody big! Chips were great, fish cocktails and calamari were great. Good value for money, would definitely recommend.
Great place for office party take away food.
Their large chips is largest I have ever seen, just chips can easily feed 4 adults.(advise is, if want to taste more of their food, small chips instead)
Gravy source is soo good with anything, always add that.
Personal favorite is fired potato cake.
$100 can be a good party meal for 8-10 adult.
Located in Bowral, about 7-8 minutes walk from the train station. Burgers and fries on the menu. Fish and chips options were good. Staff were friendly and the prices were reasonable.
Definitely the friendliest and most pleasant fish ‘n’ chip shop around for miles! I often am greeted with my usual order of hot chips, ready to be cooked by the great staff! I highly recommend Sweet & Salt to anybody looking for a bite to eat for lunch and maybe a refreshing cold drink to top it all off!

Loved the food we ordered here, being 3 Bowral burgers, a fish burger, large chips ,potato scallops and calamari. What a treat to have bacon and beetroot as standard in our burgers. Very generous servings. Atmosphere was a retro feel. The 4 of us ate like royalty, with drinks for just under $100. Highly recommend this shop for a traditional feel and great food.
