What a lovely surprise! Great food, good ole Kiwis, and good value for a feed.
Thats a Kids portion of chips – look closer! Thick cut fries, and some skinny bits for crunch! Light inside, solid and crispy on the outside – not a soggy bit in sight. Excellent quality even by home standards nowadays…!! And the beef pattie? It was seriously about the size and thickness of my palm. And tasted really good too!!! Go check em out!!
My daughter and I had a “Seafood for 1” meal for $18, we are both full and got a bunch of leftovers.
Lovely experience from ordering to eating it up.
Nice, polite staff that were helpful with our requests and even quickly got the food bought out to us while we sat in the airconned car on a hot day, nicely wrapped and smelling delicious.
The portion of chips was huge, the calamari was crispy outside and a great chew, fish cocktails were thick and flakey and the crab claw and prawns were just as good.
3 lemon wedges on the side, that we squeezed over the lot made for a perfect early dinner.

Second time coming to Kai Stylez & I have been so impressed! I absolutely LOVE their raw fish. Just simple without all the fancy added things every other place I’ve been to seem to do. Chips, seafood & boil up was perfect, not drowned and covered in hinu lol. Meat falling off the bones 🤤 I will be coming back again for their otai – reminds me so much of my nena’s otai 🤍 Well done!
10/10. I went in for fish and chips and they even blessed me with a free hāngi, absolutely delicious. Oka was fresh and flavourful. The wahines at the front were lovely, welcoming, and gave off the warmest greetings that instantly reminded me of back home. The whole place had those real homey, comforting vibes. Overall, I loved everything about the experience. Highly recommend!
Absolutely loved my experience at Kai Stylz Takeaway! 🌟 I ordered the fish and chips and honestly, it was the tastiest and freshest New Zealand Hoki I’ve had in a long time — perfectly cooked, light, and full of flavour. The chips were a standout too: golden, crispy, and clearly not refried, which makes such a difference. You can really tell they care about quality.
On top of that, the value for money is excellent — generous portions for a great price, especially considering how fresh and well-prepared everything is. The shop itself was spotlessly clean, which instantly gives you confidence in the food.
A special mention to the extremely friendly young lady at the counter who greeted me with a big smile and provided genuinely great customer service. That warm welcome really topped off the whole experience.

We had some hoki, fish cocktail, nuggets and chips. Chips were a good mix of crisp on the outside and soft in the middle, battered fish was tasty too, kids really liked the nuggets. Great value for quality, we’ll be back!
