About
Fish & Chix is a casual fish and chip shop located inside Castle Towers in Castle Hill, serving up seafood, chicken, and homestyle chips to the local Hills District crowd. The menu covers the essentials well, with freshly prepared fish cooked to order, calamari rings, grilled prawns, and crumbed options alongside crunchy chips seasoned with chicken salt. It is halal-certified, family-friendly, and includes a kids’ menu, making it a practical choice for families navigating a busy food court lunch or dinner.
The value offering is a genuine drawcard. Budget-conscious diners regularly point to the grilled fish specials as a standout proposition, with generous serving sizes at prices that feel hard to beat in a shopping centre setting. Combos come with salad, chips, and a choice of fish, and the presentation across the menu is clear and straightforward. Dine-in seating is available within the food court, and the venue is wheelchair accessible with free parking nearby.
Takeaway and delivery are both available for those who prefer to eat elsewhere, though delivery through third-party apps can attract longer wait times during busy periods. The shop draws decent reviews from regulars who appreciate consistent quality and value, though some more recent feedback points to variation in experience. Ordering directly in-store tends to be the more reliable option.
A solid choice for fish and chips in Castle Hill, particularly for families wanting a no-fuss meal with flexible options. Phone ahead or order in person during peak hours for the smoothest experience.

Customer service was not bad. I ordered crumbed fish combo. Fish was tasty but they give very less salad. Place was neat and clean. Overall experience was not bad but I think they have to increase salad quantity in combo deal. I recommend this place. Must visit this place.
With plenty of food options in the mall, it can be hard to choose where to eat at
Fish & Chix seemed different, with its fish & seafood, I decided to give it a go, and I’m glad I did
Quite many food options, that are clearly presented to make it easy
I personally went for option 19, grilled mixed seafood platter (grilled fish fillet, king prawns, baby octopus, and Cajamar calamari rings, plus good chips and salad, to be chosen between seafood, Greek, garden & coleslaw), lemon, tartare sauce, and a drink (soda for an extra as I chose to)
Food was served in a box to go so if you were planning to take away that’s extra convenient
Food was good, and in enough quantity too (see my pictures, and note that even though we don’t see fries, there were there, under the fish and seafood)
Lots of seatings (part of the food court)

Fish & Chix at Castle Towers offers a variety of seafood and chicken dishes at budget-friendly prices. The grilled fish, priced reasonably at $5.39, is well-prepared and served with tasty chicken salt chips, making it a filling and economical choice. However, the Crumbed Fish burger is heavily laden with mayonnaise and lettuce, making it difficult to eat. While the crumbed fish is nice, the accoutrements are heavy and detract from the overall experience. Overall, Fish & Chix provides an okay dining experience, but it leaves much to be desired compared to Costi’s, located just a few steps away.
There are varying reviews so was bit dubious about eating here. I purchased the $5.95 grilled fish and chips special, and was very surprised at the quality and serving size. Not sure how they can be breaking even on this. Fish was very and seasoned nicely. It came out piping hot as cooked while you wait, however it only took several minutes for the order to arrive.
Service was very pleasant and efficient. Rarely do you see staff smiling these days.
The ambience is not applicable as it is a food court. I went on a weekday so no issues finding a table or parking spot
Ordered through Uber Eats and the delivery took over an hour, which was disappointing, but the food itself was decent. The calamari rings were large and well-breaded. The chips were seasoned with chicken salt. The salad was made with fresh veggies. Next time, I’ll order directly from the restaurant instead of using Uber Eats.
Inedible. Fish cocktails were overcooked to the point of tasting like powder on the inside. Fish & Chix is usually pretty good, the original store in Merrylands is still one of my go to fish and chip shops, so I was surprised at how terrible this was.
We ordered fish cocktails and chips and calamari. The chips were good. The calamari was too chewy and tough, overcooked. The fish was way too salty, there was very minimal fish. Normally my kids love fish and chips, this time it was very disappointing.
Horrible service. We went up to the server and we were barely even greeted. The worker we spoke to was giving a lot of attitude towards us and was chewing her gum in our face. The second worker was handling food with her bare hands and threw it back into the salad. So glad I only got chips. Would never get fish or salads here. Horrible service and treatment, do not go here if you want to have nice experience.
Chips were average.
