We were excited to try this place based on its high ratings, but found it all to be a little average. Service was good, but food was just ok. Got the seafood platter, which didn’t have that many chips on the plate considering we paid $30. The battered fish was good where it was crunchy, but it was also soggy in places and didn’t taste very fresh. Pineapple fritter was small and canned rather than fresh. They were generous with the lemon edges though, which we really appreciated. The grilled barramundi was fresh but packed flavour despite the amount of herbs on the fish, surprisingly! I must say there are better fish and chips not far from here and we probably won’t be back.
Nice local spot for fish and chips, and I would say the food here was pretty nice. Good texture for the fish and calamari rings. Salad was fresh and mixed well with ingredients. Chips were a little lacking in terms of quality but the dish as a whole was fine. Service here was nice and little seating here was fine and clean.
Great fish and chips! Just visited last weekend. Fresh, juicy and crispy. Chips also fresh, crispy and nicely seasoned. Good serving. Would return.
The best seafood in the Concord area, with daylight to second place. The bbq octopus 🐙 and salmon carpaccio 🐟 (sashimi) are the standouts for us, along with delicious crunchy fries and calamari. Even the beef burgers are top notch.
Ordered fish of the day, extra fish, calamaris and potato scallops. Fish n chips wee amazing, grilled, tasty. Chips was great. Calamari acceptable. Potato scallops were so oily, I couldn’t eat and I had to throw them out. Service was good. I will return.
Just bought some prawns and salad. This shop is not what it used to be. The prawns looked out of date hence not fresh. The prawns heads were starting to go black, meaning they were staring to go off. They were really yucky. The Greek salad didn’t taste that good either. It tasted off too.
I ordered the calamari pack yesterday which seemed overpriced, however when I received the order and went home, I noticed that the consistency of the calamari was not there, with 4 being significantly smaller than the rest and quality/taste not amazing. Disappointing because our usual go to is in burwood and we thought we would try concord seafood for a change.
I would like to leave this review because I have been waiting for my order for over an hour. Two delivery drivers have already canceled because, apparently, the restaurant forgot to prepare my order.
They need to pay more attention to their orders. I am also paying and trusting my money in this business, and I deserve better service. They should also be more considerate of the people who make the deliveries, as they also lose time because of these mistakes.
Terrible service.
