About
Mr Seafood Westfield is a fish and chip shop located inside Westfield Liverpool, serving the local Liverpool community for lunch and dinner. The menu leans toward grilled seafood rather than straight batter-and-chips territory, and the signature grilled seafood platter is the clear drawcard. Loaded with baby octopus, calamari rings, grilled king prawns and fish served alongside chips, it gives diners a generous spread of ocean favourites in one plate. Prawn cutlets with chips are another popular order, and grilled fish fillets served with chips or rice and a side salad round out the lighter options.
Regulars speak highly of the freshness and flavour coming out of the kitchen, with the calamari drawing particular praise. Portion sizes are considered solid value for money, and the service is frequently described as friendly and upbeat. That said, mixed feedback on wait times and consistency means experiences can vary, so ordering during off-peak periods is worth keeping in mind.
The venue is family friendly and wheelchair accessible, with free parking available through the Westfield centre. Both dine-in and takeaway are on offer, making it a practical stop for solo diners grabbing a quick grilled meal or families sitting down for a proper feed.
Phone ahead during the dinner rush to avoid a long wait.

Fast and friendly service. I ordered the Grilled Fish Fillet (Pacific Dory), Chips or Rice, with any Side Salad, Lemon & Tartare Sauce. I really enjoyed my food and the food portions were really affordable for the price that I paid.
Rude service from Arab speaking worker. I waited in line and she served 3 others waiting behind me by calling out in Arabic. It was not order collection but new customers, like me. Another customer (young lady) also waited unfairly and was bluntly ignored. When finally served by another worker, I got somewhat better service but took my purchase immediately home to find jet black hair on outside in inside of food container. Disgusting!
Absolutely love this place! The food is always fresh and full of flavour. The octopus salad is hands down my favourite. The team is always happy and positive. Great service. 5/5 every time.
Bought the grilled Seafood platter (consists of baby octopus, calamari rings, grilled king prawns , grilled fish and chips) and the Prawn Cutlets with Chips.
Absolutely enjoyed all offerings, the calamari was especially good.
Reasonable prices (grilled seafood for 2 $50.00 and prawn cocktails with chips $16.00). Would recoomend!
Unfortunately, when I on the 3rd of January I ordered 2 burgers one for my sister and one for me. I unfortunately, had to wait long time for my food which was pretty disappointing on top of that. Which led to me getting my food warm. However, when My sister and I ate our burgers we could tell it was old and made us sick to our stomach’s (and the salads are also not up to standard). I was really disappointed because I had high hope for this place. I will not be coming here again.
The food was unclean. I found a piece of paper in the tabbouleh, and when I spoke to the employee, he saw it and told me it was just a piece of paper. Are you serious? Does that mean your food isn’t clean and that you don’t care about the cleanliness of the food and the place? We don’t eat your food for free; we pay for it. You should maintain cleanliness, not just take money.
My low rating has nothing to do with the food, but entirely with the attitude of one rude staff member (short ponytail).
All the other staff members have always been friendly and welcoming, which is why I’ve continued to support this place. Unfortunately, today’s experience was extremely disappointing. At around 3:30 pm, I came in to buy one $2 fried fish cocktail for my child. When I first told the staff member, she didn’t seem to hear me, so I repeated myself. After that, she asked, “Just one?” I confirmed and explained it was for my child. She then asked, with a clearly unwilling expression, “Still wanna lemon?”
I said yes to lemon but no sauce.
She threw a piece of lemon into a paper bag and then proceeded to put the fish into the same bag. I had to stop her and ask if that was really how it was meant to be packed, as I had always seen the fish served in a paper container. She agreed to change it, but her annoyance was obvious.
She also didn’t include any cutlery, even after I paid. By that point, I was already very unhappy, so I asked her directly: “Is it because I only spent $2 that I’m getting this attitude?”
Another staff member stepped in and explained that it was her first day. I understand being new and not knowing the process well, but that does not excuse a poor attitude. From the very beginning, she gave me the impression of “you only spent $2, so what do you expect?”, which felt extremely disrespectful.
If you plan to keep this staff member long-term, I strongly suggest reconsidering.
I don’t usually leave really bad reviews, but this is a must. I ordered 4 calamari and 1 battered fish yesterday morning. I sat down to eat the calamari, and once I had the first bite, I was like, “Wow, that was hot and nice.” The second calamari is what really got me. I bit it, and it tasted off and bitter for some reason, and the smell was very unpleasant. I wasn’t sure if that was just me or the food. But I continued to finish the second calamari because I thought maybe I had just burnt my taste buds off from the first. I finished the food.
In the afternoon, my stomach hurt so much, and I ended up with diarrhea and food poisoning.
I’d like to point out that it’s very important to make sure the quality and hygiene are up to standard. The customer service there, the lady looked very sour. But if the food waa good you will always have customers returning even if the service was bad.
I will not return.
