About
Red Fez Cafe is a casual multi-cuisine spot in Moss Vale, New South Wales, serving fish and chips alongside kebabs, burgers, and chicken. The menu covers a wide range, from fish cocktails and scallops through to cheesecake, making it a handy option for groups with different tastes. Both dine-in and takeaway are available, the seating is comfortable, and parking is straightforward nearby.
The cafe has a loyal following among locals who point to the warm, personal service as a highlight. A single operator runs the room from order through to table, and regulars appreciate the relaxed, friendly atmosphere that comes with it. The seasoned chips draw consistent praise, and the kebabs and Portuguese burger are popular choices on the menu. It is a family-friendly venue, and the kids’ menu adds to its appeal for those visiting with children.
Reviews from Moss Vale diners are mixed, however, and worth keeping in mind. Some visitors report overcooked fish and inconsistencies with hot food arriving cold, and a number of reviews raise concerns about pricing that does not match the menu. It is sensible to check your receipt before leaving.
For anyone after fish and chips or a relaxed meal in the Southern Highlands, Red Fez Cafe offers a broad menu and a conveniently central Moss Vale location near Coles. Check opening hours before visiting, particularly if planning to order kebabs later in the day.

Pretty nice, they had no kebabs left even their bright sign out the front says otherwise. The seasoning on the chips was very delicious and the Portuguese burger was alright as well. Could have been a bit more spicy but I like everything really hot.
Beautiful sweet man serving beautiful great food. Such a nice surprise in the middle of town 😃
Lovely old dude cooking up the food. Enjoyed my kebab and the cheesecake was very nice dessert
Ordered a beef kebab, the meat was cold and looked like dog food. I couldn’t eat more than a bite. Got charged more than what the price on the menu was as well. Should have been $25 with a drink but he rang it up as $28.50 and had no explanation for the extra charge when I challenged it. Keep an eye on the price he charges. He acts like a sweet old man but he’s definitely ripping off customers that aren’t paying attention.
The food is always delicious at Cafe Red Fez in Moss Vale, and Sam is a great, warm and friendly guy. The cafe is conveniently located near the Coles supermarket.
From chicken burgers, hamburgers to the plated chips, fish cocktails to the scallops. This cafe/restaurant is superb. Sam is your everything from order to food to table. The meals are exceptional, the seating comfortable and the wall literature humbling. What an absolute gem.
The fish was off. I dry wretched opening the bag. The chips were also terrible. I just threw it straight in the bin. Paid 30 bucks for rotten food. Disappointed as we had left and couldn’t go back. It was so obviously off you could smell as soon as we opening the bag it despite it having been deep fried.
If you want to die of food poisoning and get overcharged feel free to eat here, the kebab rotisserie wasn’t even on, meat sitting at room temp, off lettuce on the kebab as well
Mind you I work in the food industry and I take this very seriously, eat here at your own risk
