Chicken burger and minimum chips (minus 4 chips)
When I order a burger I expected a BURGER PATTY on the burger. It was awful tasting and loaded with pepper. I couldn’t eat it.
I ordered Flake Fish and Chips and A Fish Cake that came to $18. Chip was dried and burnt and salad was soggy and no Fish Cakes. I’m returning here to get my refund. Horrible service!
Ordered a bacon and egg burger meal, and omg it was delicious the best I’ve had in a while the burger was big and juicy, the chips were so nice crispy and well salted. I would highly recommend in giving this store a go

Not as good as it used to be
I’ve been coming here on and off for a few years now, and I have to say, the food just isn’t what it used to be—especially the fish. It used to be fresh, flaky, and full of flavour, but lately it’s been a bit dry and lacking that crisp, golden batter I remember.
The portions seem smaller now too, and the chips aren’t as crunchy or hot as they used to be. I don’t mind paying a little more if the quality is there, but unfortunately, it feels like things have gone a bit downhill.
Staff are still friendly and the place is clean, but I do hope they bring back the standard that made this spot such a reliable go-to in the past.
First time ordering seafood basket from here. Absolutely delicious!

The only thing I don’t like is the tartar sauce. I think they added turmeric power? I prefer the more common one
I love banh mi & this is the best I’ve found in Ipswich. Everything was fresh & tasted amazing.
