Sorrento Seafoods is one of those fish and chips restaurants that you can visit knowing you’re going to get some solid food that is fresh, packed with flavour and always consistent. Today our selection was the steak sandwich and The Works burger with added chips and a drink.
The food is very generous in serving and each element given its chance to shine. The ingredients are all fresh and I’m always impressed with the quality of bacon used. For me, the real standout was how well the egg was cooked, with the yolk achieving that perfect treacle consistency that didn’t explode everywhere but still had a pleasing run to it.
Just next to Sorrento Seafoods is the perfect little park situated next to the canals where you can grab a covered table and enjoy your food in a gorgeous surrounding.
Unfortunately this spot is a let down. I ordered the fish, chips and calamari with the garlic prawns and coconut prawns. It was all actually gross. Very greasy. The prawns batter was so thick all you ate was batter. The fish itself was slimy and gross. Chips were soggy and not crispy. Calamari was ok but very thin so not much too it. Won’t ever come back sadly. I mentioned it to the worker kindly and she just had come backs so not worth the effort.
The best seafood on the gold coast. Fresh tasty and cooked to perfection each time!. Can’t fault it

Good fresh seafood, always busy for a reason. This little place absolutely pumps out perfect food every single time. Friendly staff, unreal burgers, and a killer mix of fresh seafood to choose from.
I 100% recommend the seafood 🦞 basket — but honestly, anything you buy here, you can’t go wrong. Absolute banger of a spot.

I would love to say this is arguably the best fish and chip shop on the coast. Their burgers have the BEST and freshest ingredients and these guys take pride in the work that they do. We ordered the cheeseburger, a sorrento fish burger, mega chicken burger and fish and chips and their portions were extremely generous. Will definitely be back to support a small business ❤️

I have becoming to Sorrento Seafoods for 18 years they never disappoint, their fresh seafood is always fresh and fish n chips never greasy my favourite is always their potato scallops (yum).
The girls are always super friendly and lovely!
