Quite good. The sides are excellent, very good chips, crunchy exterior fluffy interior. The Greek salad is hands down the best I’ve ever had (worth visiting just for the chips and salad!). The let down was the fish itself – I ordered the salmon and it was slightly overcooked. The owner seems to be good at taking feedback, so I doubt the issue will recur.
If you’re in the mood for fish and chips, this place is well worth a look.
I used uber eat to order 2 fish and calamari special and didn’t get any calamari. So disappointed with the service here. And uber eat also not really helpful as the calamari is not included in the item ridiculous!
Had the best meal of fish and chips here tonight. The crumbs were perfect on the cod and the chips do fresh and tasty rated 10/10
I gave this place a 2 star rating a year ago when the new owner took over.
The previous owner was 5 star.
I was hoping the poor showing was due to the new owners learning their trade.
1 year later ive just been back. I won’t be going back again.
Good bits.
The salad was nice but much smaller than before.
Service was really quick.
Staff are friendly.
Bad bits.
Chips were awful. Soggy, under fried, mushy.
Fish? Thinly sliced but as before dry and one piece had many bones. Batter was slightly crispy but oily.
Just order 5min ago. 2 cod fish, 5 calamari and small fries.
The worse beer batter fish I ever had. Beer batter fish were not crunchy at all and fell off the fish. The fish inside the batter was so dry and smelly like old fish. Also both the fish and the calamari tasteless. Even the fries were not crunchy. Waste $26 and couldn’t bring myself to eat it. That was my dinner. Now eating instant noodle for dinner and it taste much better the $26 beer batter fish and chips.
No pictures because i was so angry I threw it all in the bin. 🤬🤬
Ordered 2 pieces of grilled barramundi and a battered snapper.
I can tell you neither was the fish we asked for and was so overcooked and dried was pretty much un-edible.
Also ordered prawn cutlets and they were so overcooked they were like rubber.
And the price and what you received for chips was disgraceful.
Will not be back.
Disappointed that I hadn’t found this place sooner! Beautifully cooked fish, batter wasnt oily unlike a lot of fish and chips shops, great portions and very reasonably priced.
If you want good food, good value and great service, I definitely recommend 2Fish.
