Wow New place, thought we would give it a go. Just look at this burger. Everything packed so well. I’m amazed top quality. If ur after some home school burgers fish and chips these are the guys for you. Please try on ur next menulog order. You won’t be dissatisfied. I wasn’t. As you can see I have provided photos. Yum yum tuck in. ❤️🙏👌Update!!! I have now tried there potato scolops and wow. Crunchy on the out side soft and fluffy inside. Perfect and there HUGE. 🙏😍 Thank u again. And another amazing burger.
Well what a hit and miss place. Told 25 to 30 minutes for the order. Picked it up after 23 minutes. Chips were cold clearly cooked before the rest. Everything else was over cooked. Calamari was dry inside. So was the prawn cuttlets. Didn’t even try the potato scollops. Looked over cooked and full of oil. Fish lacked moisture. Recieved a crumbed sausage we didnt order but there was about 4mm between the bread crumbs and the sausage. Clearly they can’t get the timing nor the temperature right. Seems to be like this when ever the old bird cooking.
Not the first time this has happened. Fish and chips are fish and chips. I usually only write good reviews so this experience was bad.
Don’t know what all the whinging is about. It was a good feed! Exactly what you would expect from a fish and chip shop. Everything was cooked nicely I thought. Chips yes I agree, wasn’t the biggest serve about 900g for $7 but you have to understand these shops are paying a lot more for their chips and oil pretty much everything nowadays. Overall experience was good I give them 4 stars. I’ll be back! Paid $41.15 for the below seems fair to me.
To begin with – excellent phone order service….light, crisp batter on the HUGE piece of cod…light, crispy crumb on the scallops and seafood stick…fresh, clean tasting chips (1 serving was enough for 2 ) .
Phoned it in @ 5:00 pm and picked it up by 5:15/20….hot, FRESH tasting keeps coming to mind and simply delicious 😋! This is the second time we’ve ordered from here and we’ll keep coming back! Highly recommend this place 👍
For a small shop tucked away off the motorway, it’s a hidden gem. Went there today for the first time, wondering why there wasnt a huge line? Everything was impeccable, the portion, quality and price. We took it to the park 5 minutes away, it was the best fish n chips I’ve had in ages.
We love the food at Fish on Drews especially the chips cooked beautifully crispy 🤤 quality is high and consistent and the value is great! Give Fish on Drews a try everyone 👍🏻
I ordered two hamburgers last night and the buns were soggy the meat was overcooked and it ruined my appetite I did see a red headed girl cooking the burgers but next time I would like it to be cooked properly
