We usually love the chips and calamari from here. Tonight was a little disappointing- the calamari was small and dry/chewy (refer to picture I got of a couple of pieces) The chips were not salted at all and soggy. We ordered a family pack, garlic prawns and extra calamari. The fish was nice and crispy and everyone loved it. But the kids wouldn’t even touch the calamari which they usually love- hence why I ordered extra.
Kind of disappointed as we spent over $60 as a treat for my family but most of it was binned.
I placed an order over the phone for the special For Monday it was $10. It was hamburger and chips It was bloody amazing the best hamburger I’ve had in a long time. The bread roll was super fresh. The salad was super fresh. The meat patty was juicy. The chips were crunchy and cooked to perfection. I will definitely be going back to try another special but I will definitely be going back for another hamburger.
First time ordering from here and to find the chicken salt was the bright yellow old school chicken salt was AMAZING! Will definitely come back! We ordered 2 cod and chips plus a small chips and our family is definitely full! Extra lemon for 10c was a bonus and it tasted like fresh lemon which I’m grateful for!
Amazing staff with a variety of food to choose from. Recommend to go in and get a great feed when your next go past. I’ve never been dissatisfied in my 3 years as a regular customer . Keep up the great work Hook’d On.
Great quality food at a reasonable price. Got the budget buster pack which was great value for money. Friendly and accommodating staff everytime you go in and I will definitely be back cheers staff. Highly recommend!
A few years ago it was very much hit and miss getting a good feed. But now days it has transformed into a really great fish and chip shop! The Seafood sampler , one of my favourites. you get to enjoy a bit of everything, and is great value for money!
Loved the food, cooked really well. Staff very friendly and helpful. The food portions are very generous. We brought the family meal and we could have easily fed 6 people. We were just 4 with lots left over for the next day.
Hires people that are considered exceptionally handsome/attractive to the point you cant think clearly when your ordering so you end up purchasing far more food then you actually need. And then to make it worse they always ensure the food taste absolutely amazing which makes you eat more then you should and its just a bad spiral. Im already hooked but you should spare yourself this never ending spiral.
