Centre Place is a small fish and chip shop in a local quiet shopping precinct. Plain & basic fish dishes are served. Have to say the fish was nicely cooked as we ordered it ..well done. Batter was light & crunchy, fish chunky & moist. Sat outside at the small table which is of course pet friendly
Burger chips and a can of coke for $13.99
Burger was yum but you need instructions on how to eat it. I left with beetroot all over my top. Not a good start to the day 😂
This place is a staple place for must eat in Rochedale South. I’ve been visiting this shop for years and years and years. Just finished eating the family pack and a few extras with the rest of my ‘family’
Love the look of it – it’s an old fashioned looking fish and chip shop from the 80s.
The food tastes great! – I wouldn’t keep going back there if I didn’t love the food. And gosh… It’s fish and chips. You get good fish and chips!
Food there is cheaper than your fast food outlets – nothing beats paying 10 bucks for a burger with the absolute lot. Take that fast food places! I generally order a fair bit from there so don’t mind paying for extras on top of the family packs.
The staff there are soooo lovely – it’s always a pleasure going there and knowing who is working hard to make your food. Family owned and I always love supporting them… The sweetheart of a lady there confuses me with my twin brother. It makes me chuckle.
The service is great – haven’t had any issues with what I’ve ordered and if the place is busy and getting smashed with take out and Uber orders, you’d be politely told that there is a wait for your food.
I felt like leaving a nice review as this place has been a big part of me while living in the same suburb.
Loved the chicken burger, the mayonnaise was plentiful and tasted nice. Seasoning on the chips was great, and the meal was nice and cheap, good value.
Wait time was very short, no more than 10 minutes.
I would definitely recommend eating from this place if you’re nearby.

Ordered via Uber so I can only review based on what was given to me.
The 2 x batch of calamari rings were ordered but they were of two different colour / temperature / texture. The owner must have re-used the other batch otherwise they would have been 12x calamari rings with identical colour, temp, texture.
Asked for battered fish but was given crumbed.
Amazing food, very cheap prices and really quick and friendly service. Highly recommend.

🤨5.5/10 battered fish. Too much batter. Fish was not the freshest and a bit mealy.
😍9/10 HOT CHIPS. Huge portion for its price point. Crispy on the outside, creamy in the middle. Classic chicken salt.
👎Tables at the front were not clean, and very limited seating. Built for take away.
Dont order the Dagwood dog. Will get a plastic Frankfurt instead. Which defeats the point of ordering in the 1st place. Second time they’ve done this. So my order was incorrect and didn’t get what I payed for.
