False advertising. Had been there a while ago and been charged more than the menu shown on the internet but let it slide. Went there again today, large sign out the front advertising $9.90 cod & chips. Ordered but got charged $11.90. When I questioned the price, I was told it was an old sign. I advised that they should honour the price they advertised, they responded that they can change their prices at anytime and refused to give the advertised price.
Honestly best halloumi burger I’ve had in a long time. Was pleasantly surprised considering its location. There was a steady stream of customers whilst I was there, clearly a local favourite. Support local small businesses and check this place out.
The chips are superb with chicken salt and Hamburger look and tastes devine definitely be back again.

We were wandering around this side of town and ended up at this place. It is everything you want from fish and chips, fresh produce and generous portions. We enjoyed every piece of the platter, especially the calamari. Very friendly service!
We used to eat here twice a week, but over last 6 months we’ve noticed a decline in quality. Stopped ordering on a weekend as it was clear cooking oil was at its end and food quality was much less than earlier in the week. Figured they must get their fresh fish supplies and fresh cooking oil in on a Tuesday after their day off, so we started ordering Wednesday Thursday’s only. For a while it seemed to work and fish was good again. But after todays order wont be ordering again. The Fish used to be thicker fillets so grilled fish was soft and moist and tasty. Todays fish was cut so thin, it was so tough and dry, even cats wouldn’t eat it. We understand economy isnt great and businesses need to make profit where they can, but when you are paying $15+ for just a small piece of fish, you expect to be able to eat it.
I’ve been to the Fish Depot several times for cod and chips and they have been consistent in their value and quality.
A highlight is how they crumb their fish using a light crumb that is not too thick or oily. They also serve nice chips that are well seasoned.
I would definitely recommend this place for take away fish and chips. They also sell raw seafood that you can take home to cook yourself.
This fish and chip shop has gone down heal it’s not as good a it was. The standard of food just isn’t there anymore and the quality just has disappeared.
This is our go to in our area for local fish and chips.
The fish is always fresh, cooked well with lovely flakes of the fish.
The staff are friendly and they cook the orders so quickly.
