I paid 17 dollars for a serve of fish and chips. If I hadn’t left and was a few kilometres away before trying it, I would have gone back inside and asked for a refund. I’ve NEVER had the worst fish ever in any takeaway in Australia. The owners should be ashamed of themselves. It is an absolute rip off. Don’t go there.
Flathead fish burger is not too bad for $14:50
Ordered a piece of battered fish. Specifically told them I’m a chef and will be judging them… the fish came with half the batter gone and half burnt. Honestly I’m not even sure how you burn half a piece of fish in a deep fryer. Highly disappointing as Kingston is such a nice beach.
Paid 22 dollars for a large snackpack, box was not even half full and was served very little meat and cheese
Does this look like $45 worth of fish and chips? Asked for a piece of flake, some trevalla and 5 squid rings, 3 potato cakes and large chips. Not sure the fillet fish is what we asked for, certainly didn’t receive all 5 squid rings. The fish was dry as were the chips. Tasted like they’d been in the warmer all day. I rang to ask about our missing items and was told “everything you ordered was packed” well I can certainly count to 5, and I can only count 3 squid rings. I’m not sure what’s happened here, we’ve had fish and chips here before and were happy but based on how many 1 star reviews have been posted recently makes me wonder if something has changed with staffing or similar. Very disappointing.
Wish I could rate this place 0 stars. Flake was over cooked and burnt and the fish inside was grey and tasteless. Potato cakes were raw int eh middle, it is illegal to serve raw food, crab stick was gross. Some of the worst take away I have ever eaten
Bought chips and 2 pieces of Blue Granadier. The chips were beautiful, but the fish was definitely very old & very fishy. Extremely disappointing. Don’t buy Blue Granadier there, as you will be disappointed.
This was the worst fish we have ever eaten. The fish was grey in colour and tasted bad! No chips arrived with our order it was a disaster to say the least !!!
