Hi Cassadians.
Came back to my local fish and chips today after a very long time. I was told that it was under new management, so I thought I should try it.
I came to find a wonderful husband and wife family business. There service was exceptional. Very welcoming and friendly. The shop was so very clean and attention to detail was very noticeable. I ordered 2 fried flakes that were so very meatie and very flavoursome, chips that were nice and crunchy and 2 potatoe cakes that actually had potatoe in them.
And they did not stinge on the chicken salt. Guys we really need to support this business as this has now become the best fish and chips in cassa d.

A great fish and chip shop with plenty of choices on the menu , friendly staff will prepare a great tasty meal for you. I find the quality pretty good and fully recommend for all. They are very efficient and won’t be waiting long at all. Give them a try and you will be pleasantly satisfied.
I come in the other night because I didn’t want to cook and ordered one of the packs for one. 1 Flake, 1 Potato cake, 1 Dimsim & Small chips. They were very nice about swapping the Simao for another potato cake. The whole meal + A can of coke was surprisingly cheap. About 10-15 minutes later it was done. The fish was so nice, but the chips were a little over done but still good, but the potato cakes were solid. Everything else was so good.
First visit for many years and the new owners are absolutely lovely. Shop is very clean and plenty of variety to choose from. I ordered Flake which was absolutely delicious. The potato cakes were not to my liking but the dim sims were quite nice although very small.I will certainly order the Flake again anytime.
WOW I am not a BIG Fried Food consumer, but I cannot help but eat at this Shop after my grocery shopping spree at the Local Village. They cook it on the spot, which is piping Hot crunchy and delicious. For dessert (YES Dessert) I said, they have a selection of Jellies Big Deal you say? Well if you buy Jelly make and set it at home it is not a quick process. Do not bother get it from this Shop. I get 4 at a time bring it home and Scoff them (Hahaaha).

There might be new owners because there was certainly a new man that took and cooked my order last night of 5 scallops & 1 flake. It would have been about 12 months since I bought the same from here and it was fantastic. I was surprised how quickly my order was ready. And my intuition was telling me this might not be good. My intuition was spot on the food was over cooked, dry, hard & brown in colour rather than golden yellow. It was all batter….the scallops were very watery and undercooked. I paid the penalty through out the night and wont be returning.
I got a piece of flake and the batter was perfectly crispy. We also had some seafood sticks and scallops, which we loved. We ordered a gluten-free flake and chips for my nana and she absolutely loved it too. We’ll definitely be back, keep up the great work!
