Found a dirty fingernail in our chips so we called them and went back to get our money back. The lady was very rude and argumentative. There was no apology, we just got a refund on the chips only that we had to fight for. She tried to insinuate that we put it there and that it wasn’t them. She said it wasn’t their fault and that a photo didn’t prove anything. I would never go there again. No accountability or remorse and very rude.
Wow, I bought two Chicken souvlaki I just spent $29 on lettuce Guys I literally spent $29 on a lettuce wrap when I could’ve gone to Woolworths or Coles and bought a iceberg lettuce for cheaper And just made myself a Caesar salad or something!!! They used one skewer to portion to souvlakis I’ve just wasted my money over bloody lettuce

Normally, I don’t write reviews, but I felt I had to in this case. My friend and I decided to try Gippy Fish and Chips for lunch. I ordered the lamb souvlaki with added cheese and a pineapple fritter, which came to $19.00. I took the food home — only a five-minute drive — and started eating.
Near the bottom of the lamb souvlaki, I bit into something and immediately gagged. I found a long, dark black hair embedded inside the wrap. I have lighter hair, so I knew it wasn’t mine. The sight alone made me vomit.
Once I felt a bit better, I called the store to let them know, thinking a refund was the least they could offer. The lady on the phone told me to bring the food back in and she’d give me a full refund. I drove all the way back, only for her to inspect the hair and claim it didn’t belong to anyone working there. It clearly matched her black hair, yet she refused to take responsibility.
Instead of a refund, she offered me a measly 15% off voucher — as if I’d ever want to eat there again. Her attitude was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. She made me drive all the way back just to argue and deny fault.
Absolutely disgusting food, completely lacking in hygiene, and the customer service was just as bad. Save your time, money, and stomach — go literally anywhere else.
Use to love this place. Haven’t had it in a while so we got some chips, hot dog in batter, potato cakes and dim sims. Chips were soggy and crap. Got dog was sloppy and not crispy in the slightest. Potato cake was oily and sloppy. And… the dimmys were horrible.. pretty sad and disappointing. Fish and chips? More like oily and sloppys
Banging place! Ordered 2 Hercules burgers and they were fire. I’ve ordered from here a few times when I lived in drouin. The old ladies make the best burgers I’ve had so far, the beef is thick and cooked right through, and that garlic sauce is mad.
Definitely coming back, it brought back memories and for 9.50 a burger its a bloody good deal, far cheaper then maccas.
(Additional notes: They are currently looking for workers, so if you’re a young lad or lass, give it a go, staff seem to be friendly)
Bought fish n chips from this place tonight and thought after several years, the fish and chips would have improved. Unfortunately, it has not. The chips tasted dry and stale and the fish lacked size and flavour. Please improve your quality of what you serve to customers.
2nd time now we’ve ordered from here & we get home & a chunk of the order we have paid for is missing!
Extremely poor service & tonight can’t even get what we’re missing or money back because smack on 8pm they’re gone!
