Have been to see George a number of times now, for small serves and group-sized quantities. Like the grilled barramundi especially. Generous portions make it better value than many other places. The potato cakes are never greasy or skimping on potato. The fried dimmy’s are great and the chips are all right too.

Georges quality has returned to its former glory of 10 years ago. Perfect crispy batter, fresh clean oil, tasty quality fish, chips, and all the popular menu items. Happy to come back to my long time tradition of supporting my local fish n chip shop on a Friday night. 👍🙌❤️
I was hesitant to try this place but glad I did. Only $12 for a lunch pack which gets you 2 potato cakes, 2 dim Sims, fish and chips. I don’t think you can get better value anywhere else. Really happy with the taste of everything too. Only critique is the potato cakes are very thin and mostly batter, but can’t complain for this price. I’ll be coming back.
Came here with a few mates one evening, and what a hidden gem we found! Food was amazing, the servers were all very lovely and we didn’t have to wait long considering how many customers they had. Great deal for value, would definitely recommend the Meal for Two. Their potato cakes and fried dim sims are also to die for!!

Always a very welcoming environment and the food is super fresh and delicious! The potato cakes are a must try, I always order them when I’m here. Also 5 mins away from Mordialloc beach – perfect spot to enjoy some fish and chips after a day in the ocean.
Very disappointing – would suggest go elsewhere. Came here on recommendation of a local community page. Potato cakes were oily and tiny, flake was in a pancake batter and looked and tasted like it had been thawed. Souvlaki lacked any substance and flavour. To top things off we ended up waiting 35 mins, despite being told it would be a 10 mins wait and people who order after us got their stuff before us 😂
We’ve been going here for over 20 years. Will not be back after tonight. Rude staff. Ridiculously overpriced food and I had to wait an extra 20 mins because they didn’t have enough dim sims ready. The food in the photo cost me $16.00. Worst expensive ever. Was yelled at by the owners. It was nugget pack and flake. The nugget pack alone was over $8.00 with $1.00 worth of chips. Considering the nuggets are $1.00 each so $5.00 for the pack I should have got at least $3.00 with of chips. Flake was small and overcooked. Worst experience at this usually wonderful business.
Great local fish’n’chips been visiting for 2 years with great customer service, fresh hot crunch all round very generous serving of chips, potato cakes are crunchy and palm sized, flake is generous size with perfect fish to batter, very fair and affordable take away definitely a repeat customer.
