About
Seaford Fish and Chippery has built a solid reputation among locals in the Seaford area, drawing in families and regulars who appreciate honest, well-cooked food at reasonable prices. The fish is noted for being fresh and moist inside a light, crunchy batter, and the chips are cooked to match. It is the kind of fish and chip shop that people stumble upon once and then keep coming back to.
Beyond the classic fish and chips, the menu stretches into crowd-pleasing territory with burgers that regulars praise for juicy, tender meat, and souvlaki that holds its own alongside the fried offerings. Portion sizes are generous enough that first-timers often leave pleasantly surprised. The shop is open for both lunch and dinner, and Friday nights in particular see a busy trade, so a short wait during peak hours is part of the experience.
The venue is family friendly and takeaway focused, with free on-site parking and street parking close by. Card and mobile payments are accepted, and a kids’ menu means younger diners are well catered for. Wheelchair access is available at the car park and entrance.
For anyone in Seaford or passing through the area, it is a solid stop worth adding to the list. Phone ahead on busy nights to keep the wait down.

Must say, this may very well be our new regular spot! We didn’t know about it and regularly go to another one near Seaford station. We decided to give Seaford Fish and Chippery a go as it was on the way home.
The food was good, portion sizes were great. Only thing is that it’s a bit “out of the way”. But the extra few mins drive from the main part of Seaford is worth it.
I came to order food for my family on a Friday night. I did had to wait a while as they were very busy and inside was packed with people. The burgers were so good as the meat was juicy and tender. The souvlaki was also really good. The staff was friendly and warming. I drove 10 minutes to get these fish and chips as a family friend of mine shared with me their good experience here. Will surely be coming again some other time!
Decent servings of fish which was fresh and moist, encased in a light crunchy batter. Beautifully cooked chips too! Best fish and chips I’ve had in Seaford for a long time.
Service with a smile. Hard working honest guy. The food is always good, however, it’s always a little overcooked and the oil is not the best. The assistants who work for him never seem to last longer than a few months.
What a Shame, after 20 years I’ve moved back to the area, and what once was Ivan’s fish and chips is now a fairly soul less, quiet place with average food
Checked the reviews prior and unsure what they’ve ordered but the burger patty was a small, thin cheap patty that ruined an ok burger
Fried foods all dry and the chips were ok
Prices are reasonable but with 2 fish and chip shops up the road I doubt I’ll ever be going back
Delicious 🤤 very well cooked and reasonably priced. I actually accidentally ordered from here cos I’m not a local and I thought it was another on Nepean but I’m so happy. It was worth the detour and nearly getting lost in the area. I eat and order fish and chips/ seafood regularly around Caulfield and CBD and this was way better
