About
Greens Road Fish & Chips is a takeaway and delivery fish and chip shop serving the Wyndham Vale community for lunch and dinner. The menu covers the classics, with flake, calamari, potato cakes, and dim sims alongside a few less common offerings like hotdogs in batter and jam donuts. The signature fisherman’s pack is a popular choice for those wanting a solid spread in one order.
Experiences at Greens Road can vary from visit to visit. On a good run, the fish arrives fresh with a crunchy batter, the potato cakes are well made, and the calamari is the real thing rather than a processed substitute. The staff have drawn genuine praise for their friendliness and their willingness to communicate clearly with customers who have hearing difficulties, which speaks well of the team. On less consistent visits, some regulars have noted greasy chips, heavy salting, or dim sims that haven’t been cooked through, so it pays to go in with realistic expectations.
The shop is family-friendly, with a kids’ menu available, and the premises are wheelchair accessible with free on-site parking. Takeaway and delivery are both on offer, making it a convenient option for families in Wyndham Vale who want fish and chips without leaving the suburb.

Great hot food. for everyone to sit and spend time with ea other weather you are out or just at home in front of tv
Your Google page says you are open until 8pm on Sundays… well we just turned up to order some of your food. Yeah, shut! How about update your business page. Not happy, hungry family going somewhere else now. Won’t return!
Had the couples pack from here tonight and after reading the reviews was pleasantly surprised to have a great meal. Everything was fresh. The fish was delicious, crispy, tender and well seasoned. The potato cakes and chips were great. The dim Sims were very tasty and worth the money.
I would 100% return to this store and have a meal any day of the week.
For anyone who is doubting going here because of the reviews give it a go and see what happens.
The store was super busy and ended up having to stop taking orders early to make sure everyone’s order was fulfilled.
I bought a snapper battered. The batter tastes better then the fish. Been here before but for some reason wasnt up to par like the last time. Fish is tastelss and batter is all wet. Wont be coming back.
I went here on my way home from work. The staff were very friendly and easy to communicate with as they were deaf aware. I placed my order by writing what I would like and they responded by writing back to me.
They wrote me a cheery note on my food wrapping to wish me a great night.
The food was delicious and so fresh. I will go there again.
Bought fisherman’s pack…had a small hickup as the girl gave me a wrong price over the phone.
The food tasted great though!!
Fish was fresh and batter is nice and crunchy. Very satisfying 👍
“Staff here were genuinely lovely — friendly service makes a big difference. The flake was tasty, and I really appreciated getting real calamari instead of the rubbery ring imposters you see elsewhere. Hotdog in batter was a winner. South Melbourne dim sim had good flavour but could’ve stayed in the fryer just a little longer, and a heavy hand with the salt made both the chips and dim sim a bit too much. Potato cakes didn’t quite hit that crispy crunch I was hoping for. Biggest disappointment was the jam donut — we ordered a hot battered one (the thing we were most excited about) but ended up with a cold, non-battered version.
For almost $70, I was hoping for a bit more consistency. Still, not a bad stop when you’re out and about. A few tweaks — less salt, crispier spuds, and that jam donut done right — and it’d be a great little fish & chip spot.”
We ordered 2 grilled flake and 1 battered flake, chips and some fried dim Sums. The grilled flake were fine but as soon as I bite into my battered fish, it tasted weird but I couldn’t figure out what it was. After smelling it many times to see what it is. It smell like mothballs. I’m not sure what it was but it taste and smell bad. The chips and dim sums were so also fine as well.
We have been here before and had no problems. Just very disappointed as I was looking forward to it😞
