This is a Large Hughes Special. It’ll cost you $30 and is worth every cent.
Staff are helpful and friendly.
Also recommend their seafood sticks and crumbed fish.

This was our go-to local takeaway, , previous owners made the best pizza in Woden area.
New ownership and food quality has deteriorated significantly
Initially had a bad experience with a fish and chip order, inedible due to the amount of salt on the meal, but gave the new owners the benefit of the doubt and continued to frequent, convenience over quality, until an issue with a family dinner order.
I pre-placed the order at 430pm, giving 2 hours notice for our family meal order, 630pm collection.
Newborn baby in the house, needed to feed the masses without too much effort.
Arrived at 630, pizzas ready and garlic bread being wrapped.
Should have checked before leaving, all pizzas burnt outside and raw in the middle. Garlic bread still frozen and butter solid. Returned to takeaway to get replacements, having 6 adults at home waiting for dinner.
No pizza available, out of bases.
Provided refund but very disappointing experience,

It’s really hard to find a good fish and chips take away these days, but these guys hit the spot.
Got a nice mix of the fish and chips menu and was not disappointed with it at all.
Cooked just right, good thickness of batter (not too much) also very generous portions/size.
Price was still pretty good, too.
Additionally, the friendly staff made the experience feel unique and personal, unlike many other fast food places.
The battered fish was nice, but the burger patty was clearly bought-in, frozen, par-cooked, and out of a box. Please serve homemade patties, it’s a local takeaway, not a Coffee Club or Gloria Jeans. Keep your buy-in patties away from my burger.
Have tried these guys three times now and won’t go back. Pizza was soggy and the base so thick it was raw in the middle. Burgers clearly full of frozen meat and store bought fillings. And then last night, the grilled barramundi was dry and without flavour, and the chips weren’t fully cooked. Such a shame, I’d heard good things about this place in the past but the owners clearly do not care about service or standards.
One of the best Burger with the lot I’ve ever had and friendly service.
