How on Earth is this claimed as a “Large chips” Barely even bigger than my hand and costs $8.50??? What a joke, I know so many other locations who would only claim this as a small chips for a 1/3 of the price. WOULD NOT RECCOMEND getting hot chips here as it’s a blatant rip off. Absolute joke of a place
The small chips is barely a handful here anymore, and the overall prices are too high. 2 small chips, 2 crumbed fish, 2 scallops and 2 savs costs more than feeding a family of 4 at KFC
Also the carp payment surcharge is exorbitant considering the value proposition and overly inflated prices.
Terrible experience. 1. Ordered large chips, 15 cocktails and 2 chicken fillet burgers. Got told they didn’t have enough fillet for both so put 2 in one and put schnitzel in the other. 2. Full order of cocktails not given and had forgotten our chips. 3. Arrived home, opened the burger and found a short black hair. Threw it in the bin. Disgusting for the price and the wait
Do not waste your money. Quality of food is horrible. Oil smells funny too. We fed it to the dogs.
The chips had a weird taste, like the oil was dirty or something, they smelled funny too. Gave us stomach ache. They don’t have forks to eat with, and the gravy was tasteless brown water. Give this place a MISS!!!! I’m surprised they haven’t been shut down as the walls, ceiling fan etc are filthy.
Absolute disgraceful portions of chips very inconsisten sizing every time I go and on this occasion when I ordered a medium it wasn’t even enough to fill a 2 and 3 year old so we had to go without. The fish cocktails are about half the size of your average but still the same price. More then disappointed with the customer service have to give them a miss from now on. Would not recommend.
AVOID THIS PLACE. If I could give zero stars I would. The portion size of their chips is disgraceful. We ordered a medium size which usually feeds 4 of us and we could count the chips in the bag, the kids ended sharing them together as there was barely enough for them. The scallops are so thin with tonnes of batter to look bigger. And the fish cocktails are as big as your thumb. Fish and Chips used to be a cheaper dinner to enjoy but for the price they are charging you’re better off going elsewhere. We called to address our concern and was told that is how it is. You have lost a customer and will be telling everyone to not go here. 👎🏼
Best fish and chips in the area. Friendly service with yummy fish and chips, potato scallops and burgers that are definitely affordable compared to other places. I also recently tried the sweet potato scallops which were to die for! Would definitely recommend Terry Street Take Away!
