About
Seafood and Eat It is a well-regarded fish and chip shop in Blaxland, sitting on the edge of the Blue Mountains and drawing a steady mix of locals, families and visitors passing through the area. The shop carries a strong reputation built on consistently fresh, quality seafood and portions that leave regulars satisfied.
The battered fish and chips are the signature here, and it’s easy to see why. Diners can choose their fish straight from the display, and the deep-fried food comes out light rather than heavy or greasy, with a genuinely crunchy crumb and flaky, moist flesh inside. Portions are described as generous, and the overall value is a common reason people return. The menu extends beyond the basics, with a solid variety of fresh seafood on offer alongside the classics.
Dine-in and takeaway are both available, making it easy for families to sit down for a meal or grab something to go. The atmosphere is casual and the staff are known for being friendly and welcoming, even on busy nights. Free street parking is available nearby, which adds to the convenience for families and visitors exploring the Blue Mountains region.
One practical note: the shop is cash only, so it pays to come prepared. Phone ahead for orders during the dinner rush.

Great fish and chips. Everything is freshly cooked and you can choose what fish you want out of the display. Deep fried food is not heavy and gluggy but light and fresh.
Really great, fresh seafood. We came in on probably the busiest night of the year (good Friday) and we’re still warmly welcomed and served ASAP. Will happily return.
Very good value fish and chips. The battered is very crunchy. Only downside is cash only, but with their price, don’t think most people with have issue with it.
Take away only during covid, so be prepared to eat in your car or find a picnic area nearby
Absolutely kind staff with an amazing variety of foods! Everything looked and tasted fresh! Salad was amazing and chips and fish were perfectly baked! Free street parking although close to a dance school and not very many spots! also maybe don’t eat it in the car outside the ballet class or they may get jealous or steal a chip!
Long time buyer of salmon pack. Particularly good tonight though. Chips were crispy and soft inside, fish cocktail batter was light and crisp.
Great service as usual from Harrison and co
We love going to this place, great value salad, fish n chips. Top chef owner is friendly takes time to chat n customise your order.
The fish was super flaky, tender and moist. The crumb on it was nice and crispy yet easy to bite through. The man who served me was very nice. Great place to stop by on the way to Blue Mountains
Quality of food is usually always good, after a long day at work I phone up prior to getting home and picked up my grub. For an hour on my drive home i was craving prawn cutlets.. I had ordered 4 with my fillet of fish.. all to find once i got home was 4 FISH cocktails not my 4 PRAWN cocktales. My friday evening i am now spending unsettled.
Other than that love the food. But still, im not mad i’m just disappointed
