About
Paris Seafood Cafe is a well-regarded fish and chip shop in Cronulla, drawing a loyal crowd with its fresh seafood and reliably light, crispy batter. The signature dish is battered hake and chips, a crowd favourite that the shop cooks to order rather than holding under a lamp, which means a short wait during busy periods but noticeably fresher results. Battered prawns and John Dory with chips also feature, and the chips themselves earn consistent praise for their quality. Portion sizes are generous, and the salads come in impressively large serves with thoughtful touches like fresh-cut lemon on the side.
The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, with outdoor seating that looks out over the lake. Families are well catered for with a kids’ menu, and the service is known for being friendly and efficient even when the place fills up. Dine-in, takeaway, and delivery are all available, making it flexible for a family meal or a quick bite after a day near the beach.
Queues do form at peak times, and seating can be limited on busy days, so arriving a little early or phoning ahead is a smart move. Regulars have been returning for years, and first-timers often leave surprised by how far above the ordinary this Cronulla fish and chips spot sits. Phone ahead for orders during the dinner rush.

We’ve been visiting this fish and chips shop for many years and can honestly say that it is the best fish and chips shop around. There is always a wait time of 10-20 minutes because their fish are freshly cooked to order and not pre-fryed; batter is thin and crunchy and not oily. Their chips taste just like home made, wholesome and delicious. Our favorite is the battered whiting fillets with chips and grilled octopus with chips, great protion size and perfect for sharing. If you are visiting cronulla, be sure to check out this place and you won’t be disappointed.
Looking for a quick meal after swimming at Cronulla. Went into Paris Seafood without much of an expectation (well, fish and chips, can’t go wrong, nor can be too great?). Definitely exceeded expectation by far.
1. Very friendly and polite staff.
2. We have ordered the whiting fillet with chips per the special of the day menu, together with a few other items. Kids approved; they have eaten more fish than chips.
Oh… that batter… so light, fluffy and crispy, and fish cooked just right. Don’t think anyone would question the quality even if it’s platted up at an up-market restaurant. Definitely one of the best in Sydney.
Other items were spot on. Generous cut of tender calamari rings.
The locals surely kept this place as a secret.
This is now our favourite when visiting Cronulla.
Tips: get there early or between lunch/dinner, they do get busy. We went there early and people started to come in from about 630pm.
Wow, what an unexpected surprise of deliciousness. Stopped past on my way home after a walk to grad some food for my family, expecting just an average fish and chip shop and we can’t believe how good this food was. The marinade on the calamari was delicious and fish cooked perfectly. Perhaps the best Greek salad I have ever had. We are bringing the whole family back .
Ordered the John Dory with chips and garden salad. John Dory was so delicious, chips were perfect. Provided good sized lemons too which is a massive plus. Portion size for the salad was so impressive, and it was incredibly delicious. Great value for money.
Yum! Delicious fish & chips. Ordered battered hake, chips, couple battered prawns. The service was great, so helpful and friendly. The food came out pretty quickly even though it was busy. The battered on the fish and prawns was so light and crispy, not thick and stodgy like so many other places. Huge menu with lots of options. Will definitely be back to try some other menu items.
Under the blazing 5.30pm heat from the evening sun shining right into the shopfront we savoured into arguably one of the best fish and chips we have had in a while!
The batter was perfect. Light fluffy and crisp. The portion size of the fish was huge. This really left a smile on our face despite sitting in the hot sweltering heat and having our t shirts soaked through.
Highly recommend fan or air con installation and also getting the external awning to work again 🙂
I’m giving 1 star for each category.
We ordered standard items from the menu.
Burger and chips.
Chicken salad
2 drinks.
We used to be regulars.
We want to support small businesses especially! by being present in the location.
But it seems making the effort to show support doesn’t matter anymore because home delivery comes first.
We waited 1 hour and 15 minutes and during that time we asked twice when our food was going to be ready.
Others were asking the same and just got told to wait outside until called, no apology no acknowledgement that things were slow.
I personally do not like home delivery meals of any kind hence why i prefer to eat out.
When we finally got our meals they were both cold and the chicken was dry and as hard as wood.
Definitely not why we became regulars.
Most people who serve home delivery meals have a dedicated teams for that business segment so it doesn’t impact their loyal customers who make an effort to support that business in more ways than one.
And by the way, the woman at the counter with the loud voice is very Very! Rude.
Get s docket system with a VDU nobody wants to hear screaming while they’re eating.
One of the best fish and chips I have bought for the kids in a long time. Crunchy chips, flaky fresh fish and the salad that I’ve seen on the other plates looks fresh and inviting. Definitely coming back here with the family.
