The venue is wheelchair accessible throughout, including the car park, entrance, and seating areas, and a kids’ menu means families are well catered for.
The fish and chips are the main attraction here, and regulars tend to rate them highly. Portions are known to be generous, and the calamari in particular gets a mention for its size and quality. We stopped in today for lunch. Absolutely beautiful food. We got a snack box and a seafood dinner to share between 2 adults and 2 kids. More than enough. Huge calamari and everything was cooked beautifully. Worth the wait for parking in the nearby carpark.
A good fish & chip shop which is very close to the beach & also the Cronulla shopping precinct. We have been a few times now & the food never disappoints. Last time we ordered Flathead & also Whiting Fillets with chips which comes with lemon & a squeezy tartare sauce. The meals were lovely & not greasy at all. The shop also has a good selection of salads & other fresh seafood as well
The grilled dory pack with chips and salad was delicious. We shared between 2 and it was quite satisfying. We sat at the outside tables with ocean glimpses which was really quite relaxing. Service with a smile and the order was out quickly. The better half loved the dory, I loved the chips, have not had some so tasty and crisp for a while. It was a really good spur of the moment decision. A little on the pricey side for a basic fish and chip outlet.
South Beach Seafood Cronulla – A Must-Visit!
South Side Seafood in Cronulla serves up the best seafood we have ever tasted! We enjoyed a perfectly grilled fish, fresh prawns, and tender calamari, all cooked to perfection. The standout was their incredible house-made chilli mayo sauce – it added a delicious kick that elevated every bite.
The quality, freshness, and flavors were unmatched, making it a meal to remember. Whether you’re a seafood lover or just looking for an amazing dining experience, South Side Seafood is highly recommended. We’ll definitely be back for more!
fish and chips are some of the best i’ve ever had in a long time, short wait time of about 10min between ordering and collected.
limited indoor seating and is pretty noisy inside even with few people, while the outdoor seating is way nicer and is still covered with wind breaker walls
Food is good and well priced but your set up is wrong. You do chips on the bottom, then fish etc on top, then salt. So the chips get 0 salt underneath 🙁
This place is absolutely terrible! They served us cold and old seafood. We paid 100 dollars for two platters that were both inedible. We kept the calamari as that was nice and fresh but we returned the platters and asked for our money back. The platters were uneaten and they still refused to refund our money. The south asian lady working the front was really rude and refused to call the manager to ask for a refund. I then explained that I also have allergies and cannot eat frozen or old seafood but they still refused. I recommend that no one goes here as you will pay for food that is not up to standards and will only receive bad customer service.
I’d like to share a recent experience that really showed the difference good customer service makes.
During a busy concert night, I visited a nearby ice cream shop and spent around $30 on ice cream. When I asked for a few empty cups, I was charged $2.50 each, which felt unreasonable. By that point, the ice cream was already packed and I had no choice but to accept it.
I then went to a nearby casual street food / fish and chips shop and ordered a snack pack for $20.90. The food was generous and good quality, but what really stood out was the service. I politely asked for four empty cups and even offered to pay — the staff member kindly gave them to me without charging anything. I insisted, and he still refused.
While waiting, I noticed how friendly and respectful the staff were with all customers, even when people asked for extras. As someone who has worked in hospitality for many years, I can honestly say this was one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had in a casual venue in Australia.
Well done to the team — this is real hospitality.
