About
Mediterranean Seafood And Chicken is a fish and chip shop near Ettalong Beach serving a broad menu that stretches well beyond the classic battered serve. Alongside the signature crumbed fish and chips, the menu features burgers, chicken wraps, and cocktails, giving the spot a slightly more relaxed cafe feel than a standard takeaway counter.
The crumbed fish is the clear standout on the menu, prepared fresh to order and noted for generous portions where the fish outweighs the coating. The Aussie burger has drawn solid praise too, with a well-built, no-fuss result that avoids soggy buns. The spicy chicken wrap rounds out a menu with real variety for groups or families who can’t all agree on fish.
Chip quality can be inconsistent across visits, with some orders hitting that ideal crisp finish with a good shake of chicken salt, while others have landed a little underdone. The fish portions are reliably generous, and the food overall leans on the oily side for some regulars. Lunchtimes get busy, so a little patience during the rush is worthwhile.
Dine-in and takeaway are both available, and delivery is an option for those closer to the Ettalong Beach area. The shop is family friendly, with a kids menu on offer. Free street parking is available nearby.
Phone ahead during the lunch rush, or settle in and enjoy the dine-in option at a quieter hour.

The crumbed fish and chips was super delish. Chips cooked to perfection, right amount of chicken salt. The crumbed fish tasted fresh and crumbed to order. Highly recommend.
Had dinner here tonight and the only fish available was Hoki, got some fish and chip meal with an added battered Saveloy. Took the meal back to my room and the frozen hoki was what it was but really greasy and dripping all over my chips but not too bad….the battered sav had been cut in half length ways($4) and covered in so much batter and so greasy that I had to remove the half sav.from the batter and eat it that way.
The chips were pretty good though.
Just enjoyed a fabulous ‘Aussie burger (with the lot but chose no pineapple), chips and a drink combo’ at the Mediterranean fish and chip cafe.
Best burger and chips I have had for a long time!
Tasty burger and no soggy buns, perfect chips, crisp on the outside fluffy in the middle.
Friendly staff, reasonable prices and a couple of tables in the cafe that typifies a great Aussie fish and chip shop. The cafe promotes local events with posters on the wall and are obviously supporters of the area.
Highly recommend!
Your local fish and chips shop. They can get very busy during lunchtime so it can take a while but please be kind and patient with the staff. Food is alright but can be a bit oily and portion is generous.
Ordered grilled fish n chips plus a snack pack with fish cocktails n calamari rings.
Took probably a bit more than 20minutes to be made with people ordering fried food after us and being served before us.
Bit of a shame with the chips, they were really under cooked and not salted at all.
The grilled fish was barely grilled and was a sloppy mess in foil which was also a shame.
Didn’t come with any lemon either or tartaric sauce as advised after asking.
The calamari was nice, and the fish cocktails were a good size.
Overall a bit disappointing for a fish n chips shop near multiple beaches.
I really like the spicy chicken wrap, otherwise the service is good and they seem to have a good choice of take away (or eat in).
We got take away fish and chips today and it was good. Fish pieces were really generous and more fish than batter. Not sure if the shop has changed hands but I think it has and is much better than a few years ago.
Ultimate (Aussie) burger was decent. Well priced but pretty standard. Better bread roll would do it wonders
