First time a week ago the fish and chips were great but yesterday was disappointing.. different person cooking? Will give another go tho..
Friendly, super fast service. Ordered a piece of snapper and the calamari box, which was 6 big strips of calamari perfectly cooked in a crispy thinnish batter. The large piece of snapper was also perfectly cooked in the same crispy batter but was a bit thicker in places. The serve of chips was on the smaller side, but the size of the snapper fillet more than compensated especially at only $11. Fabulous bargain for great tasting fish.
Got some chips here a few weeks back & they were the best I’ve had in town. Came back tonight and got the tofu burger, chips and potato scollop and it was all amazing! Chippies and scollop are perfect – crunchy, soft and not overly oil and the tofu burger was so yummy, perfectly battered with an amazing sauce and the serving sizes here are great compared to a lot of places. Staff were all super lovely & accommodating when we asked about vegan/ dietary things. Will definitely be a customer here again 🙂
If you enjoy “chicken” that tastes like crap and bacon not cooked then this place is for you…I hope that was chicken actually. See pic.
Burgers were soggy messes and processed chicken. A small chips was so small we both laughed.
Best fish n chips I’ve had in ages. And cheaper than most places these days. I’ll definitely be back again soon
I usually never eat Fish n Chips outside of Aotearoa. Sure am glad I did this time. Great value as had a huge prawn, x2 slices of really fresh squid and a piece of fish, yummy & only $15!!!! Chips looked home cut and were crispy without heaps of oil.
OMG I finally found a good old fashioned fish and chip place. The chips are simply amazing. The works burgers are soooooo big. Everything is absolutely fantastic including the prices 😀
Fish and chips get the tick of approval; lots of chips and a big piece of delicious fresh battered fish cooked to perfection. I was also more than pleased with the works burger I had; when they say ‘works’ they mean it! Choc-a-block with goodness, old school takeaway style. What I was most impressed with though is the genuine friendly and unpretentious service I received on both occasions I visited, from two young men that couldn’t have been more than teenagers. Keep up the good work lads!
