Nice people, quick service great prices.. $6 for a burger with the lot.. looked and tasted great.. def recommend.
Customer service not amazing but it’s a classic takeaway shop so doesn’t phase me. The food doesn’t have to be 100% either. Again classic takeaway shop yeah. But I’ve never been given such disgusting looking chips that make me not even wanna touch the burger. Very disappointed.
Got a southern chicken burger and small chips….My mistake reading the menu ‘Southern chicken burger’…not ‘Southern STYLE chicken burger’ – must be chicken from some southern country. Chips, well….if they cooked them twice in year old oil, would be better…..maybe im wrong (maybe its a new trend), but chips like this arent right. First and last time…
Yuk! I brought chips from here for the first and last time! Not even sure they are chips, colour is like nothing I’ve seen before, they almost look mouldy and they are uneatable!
I ended up going to another takeaway shop to buy chips instead – photo of chips from here (one the right – the gross ones) compared to what they are suppose to look like (from another takeaway shop).
Ordered here because Time to eat closed… unfortunately not the best, wouldn’t recommend. As other comments mentioned, chips were a bit old and funny colour.
Have moved from Lalor Park and no other place does chips or my fish burger like this shop love this family hope they never leave.
People complaining about these chips have obviously never enjoyed hand cut, PROPER hot chips. We haven’t found any place close to this – the hot chips are awesome and exactly as they should be. If you’ve ever eaten from a chip shop in the UK, this is the closest you’ll get in Sydney. Truly – we love these hot chips. They might appear ‘old’ and yes the colour, shape, size is ‘different’ – that’s because they’re NOT frozen!! We definitely recommend Summit’s hot chips – 100%.
True, the staff could be a bit more welcoming but they’re efficient, mature & generous with their servings – heaps better than other ‘fast food restaurants’ or other take away shops.
Update: our only grizzle is that we requested extra salty 🧂 but they didn’t taste too salty – not worth losing a star over. We’d definitely still return!
Had a look through reviews and saw some old posts about the chips being terrible. Thought I’d give them a shot and do not regret whatsoever.
Firstly service was amazing, asked all the right questions and very helpful.
I will agree that the chips didn’t look appetising whatsoever but were actually really good. Burger was great and what you expect from a milk bar style shop.
$12, got a loaded burger, chips and a can of drink. Unheard of nowadays, will definitely be back.
