Ordered the Fisherman’s Basket for 2 for dinner, the food was great and fresh. All of the fish were moist on the inside and crunchy on the outside & all of the food was well seasoned. Highly recommended! The service was excellent
Chips were burnt or cooked in old oil, chicken salt on chips were not as tasteful. We ordered for the first time the chicken nuggets for my daughter and it was awful, did not taste like chicken at all. The only thing was the burger “The Works” was the only good thing, hence the 2 stars otherwise I would have given 1 star.
As a long-time customer of Seafood House, I’ve been visiting weekly for over two years now. It’s become my reliable go-to for a satisfying meal of fish and chips. They offer a great variety, including family packs, burgers, drinks, and a selection of desserts. The food consistently meets expectations – fresh, well-prepared, and served promptly. The staff’s friendly demeanor adds to the overall experience, making it my favorite choice for fish and chips in Springfield.
So I was a bit apprehensive given the varying reviews. I got flake, calamari, potato scallop and chips. The quality of the food is pretty good i think but it’s what they do with it that costs them stars. Everything was quite over cooked, the calamari was pretty thick so it came up better than the fish which wasn’t as forgiving. The other issue was the sheer amount of salt that was put on it (check the pic), almost making the fish inedible. Without a large amount of tartare sauce to cover it, it would have been rough. It’s such a shame because I think with less cooking and salt it would have been amazing. Worth a second try to see if it was an off night.
New to area and decided to try Seafood House Brookwater. Food was just about inedible. Everything was over cooked in old oil. Crumbed fish was dark brown and dry. Calamari also dark brown and rubbery. Fritter, dogwood dog, scallops all dark brown and over cooked. Save yourself the disappointment and save your money. We wasted over $70 on terrible food. Won’t be back.
We used to go here a bit but they were expensive compared to another place. Went there today because other place was closed. It has gone downhill. Cheeseburger was a burger with a Kraft single and a ridiculous amount of bbq sauce. Chips were soggy. Fish burger was overly fishy. Steak sandwich was dry. Won’t be going back
Beautifully cooked and tasty fish. Fresh display of seafood available to purchase. Had a yummy ice cream to follow. We will be back.
Very good place to buy your seafood everything is very very fresh. The biggest mud crabs I’ve seen in a while too and they are $20 a kilo. Service is very good over there very friendly kind stuff. Lots of young faces behind the counter but all very mature and onto it with your order. They have a decent frozen seafood section as well like calamari rings, crumbed prawns and so on. If you are seafood lover and you’re quite local, you have to make your way here because you’re missing out. The other thing that called my eye was the fact that the head huge hole octopus for sale as well. I think I might get one of them next time and learn a few calamari recipes with the family one weekend. Keep up the good work guys great customer service!!
