We used to live locally for over 10years, and in that time frequented this Takeaway often. They had the best Battered Fish, Dagwood Dogs, Potato scallops and chips, and then over time we tried their Sweet n Sour fish, Combination Fried Rice, Honey Chicken, Egg omelette and many more of their dishes. We loved their food, BUT we no longer love. Our recent visit for Father’s Day dinner, which Hubby requested their food as we’ve moved away and hadn’t had in over a year. He was craving. Scallops, Dagwood Dogs and chips the same. But the Sweet n Sour Fish no longer had capsicums and onions, served together. They made fish separate and sauce separate so you mix yourself. Then Honey chicken is no longer the battered/crispy chicken they used to make, it’s now Chicken Nuggets 🤮, Plain omelette barely had any vege in it unlike before. And the Special Combination fried rice, barely any vege, prawn, chicken or beef, and that was hubby’s fave he was so disappointed. Having spent over $110 on it, and being customers for a decade, this was our last time. The quality in their food has gone down, which is disappointing.
We got Our dinner from here last night for Mother’s Day and I just wanted to say All the food was yummy the containers filled up and I’m eating the last of it for dinner tonight We got Sweet and sour pork Honey chicken Black bean Beef Chowmein and Chicken Chowmein Thank you to Uber eats too for picking up Our order it was done and delivered in less than half an hour Thank you so much I will be ordering again soon 😋🤤😊😊
worst Chinese we’ve ever had The beef chow mein had four bits of beef, some shredded cabbage and noodles – no other veg. The honey chicken was just that – no flavour and chewy and the sweet and sour chicken didn’t have any veg – no pineapple, capsicum – nothing.The only decent thing – the chico roll (although we ordered spring rolls). Ended up chucking it😡
Good fish and chips. While returning to BNE from mount tamborine we thought of trying the fish and chips in Beenleigh for my daughter and she loved it . Decent size snappers.
It’s been 14yrs since I darkened this shop’s door after waiting nearly 2hrs for fish n chips.
Some in my village were saying recently how good the fish is. So I tried it.
Had another 2 days later and another a week later, then again with friends last night.
Battered like the old days, beautifully crisped and the cod is huge! And so fresh!!!!
Going once a week now!
Atmosphere is only 4 stars because … Well… It’s a takeaway!!! But it is clean.
Finally… A decent Chinese fish and chips… Reminds me of my childhood.. Fried rice needs a bit more soya sauce bt I rate this shop… The lady was right “I make good hamburger the lot” she never lied and the chips are sooooo KIWI… Any KIWI looking for a slice of home arnd BEENLEIGH/BETHANIA/BAHRS SCRUB/WINDAROO hit her up… Dnt let these 1 star reviews let u miss out. Ordered honey pork n combo omelette got home n discovered it was honey prawns not honey pork rang them back n he goes we dont do honey pork why didnt the lady tell me when i did the order the guy couldnt care less paid $43 for the food which we had but not going back
So cute with the two ladies working together. Very polite and friendly and the food is all you could ask for at a take away store, hot fresh and that nice deep fried crisp.
