We chose this store because it had high ratings but we’re very disappointed.
We paid for the platter for two, which was $35. For that much money we didn’t get much value, and the food was not tasty.
The chips were undercooked. We had some fried prawn pancake thing and it was really tough. There were these fish sticks that we honestly couldn’t eat, my dog wouldn’t even eat it. Just really processed and not homemade.
Was really disappointed with this meal and wouldn’t recommend.
I decided on a simple easy lunch today. Battered cod, a chicken dim sim and a new drink I hadn’t tried, Riviera organic juice. The people who took my order were so lovely. They were cheerful, kind and happy to serve me.
The cod was no joke, the best cod I have ever eaten. So succulent, fresh and a massive serving. The chicken dim sim, was crunchy and also divine. The Pomegranate, blueberry juice was also delicious.
Thanks for filling my belly and putting a smile on my face.

Ordered 3 crumbed cod, 6 potatoe scallops , 12 calamaris & 3 kabanas put into insulated bag, got home & it was no where as fresh as normal (unable to break the fish apart when its fresh). Food was dry, rubbery & felt like it was made at lunchtime & was reheated/ deep fried again.
Called up & was told to return food, but I couldnt as it would cost me more in fuel as I am in dakabin & not around the corner in dbay. This is my usual go to for fish n chips, as well as, same order, I am very disappoint as a regular customer especially when spending over $60 for dinner. Not good enough from owner/ boss, will never return nor recommend to anyone. Stay clear of this dodgy takeaway, go elsewhere to spend your money that sells fresh food & is customer focused.
Great family that serve here and know their regulars. We ordered battered hoki fish burgers with chips. This is our staple when wanting Friday Fish N Chips. Largely costs about $30-$40 but that’s typical of most places these days. Tan’s gets busy quickly but they do a great job pumping out those orders with a smile. I wish they would spruce up the front area a bit as the inside is aging and carries some old advertising etc.
unquestionably the best damn fish and chips i’ve ever had in my life. it doesn’t make you feel sick like so many places do and it has the food has incredible flavour. I suspect that they must clean their fryers and oil very frequently.

by far the best spring rolls i’ve ever tasted, blessed to have been able to eat them
