Great potato cakes! Crispy and delicious! Flake tasted fresh, however the batter was a little thick for me. So delicious though! 😋

To the owners of B,M fish shop.
My husband and I went to your fish shop with the Recommendation from Google saying how good your food was.
We ordered 1 piece of crumb code 6 fish cocktails 2 scallops 1 Battered Sav and a serving of $5.00 chips.
The food was not up to the slandered of what Google said it was.
The crumb fish was over cooked and also the 2 scallops were full of oil and as for the fish cocktails they were not worth eating.
They had to much Batter over cooked know fish inside them and as for the chips they had been cooked and Reheated.
Everything was uneatable.
Spent over $30.00 on Rubbish food.
Will not be comming back to eat your food again.
Waste of good money

We had to give it to the birds.

I owned a takeaway in Newcastle and now moved to Ipswich area 6 years ago. This takeaway shop best we found. Food is absolutely delicious. Chips golden crunchy and fish / burgers best ever.
HEART ATTACK ALERT
If you want to avoid a heart attack or heart palpitations that make you feel like you’re having one, be cautious here. Ordered the fish cocktail pack and I’m really disappointed to be served chips and fish with the maybe litre of oil and crumbed batter. There is practically no fish and all batter!!! I had to peel away the batter to get to the fish as a sick feeling was coming over me, just to discover this!! Why the hell do you owners use so much oil and batter!?!? Because you think it looks aesthetically golden and pleasing??? You don’t like your customers or just do that to random travellers because chances are they’ll take away, drive some distance and just not be bothered to come back and complain

There are a lot of customers who have made the same claims about their experiences and the staff have responded to them but STILL no improvements. Makes you think why they are not interested in improving and making healthier food.
They don’t care and just want to get away with impacting your health and just serving their agenda.
Your manipulation of the public is obvious
I have never had a bad experience here. The owners are absolutely lovely and ask after family members if one doesn’t come with us to order.
The food itself is always great. Like any takeaway store, there is a chance of the fish or chips being a bit oily but it can happen anywhere that cooks with oil and it’s not even close to a frequent occurrence.
I’ve tried the burgers and they are always fantastic and never greasy, the chips are almost always crunchy rather than super soft and undercooked, and the crumbed fish and calamari are so tasty.
They also do sandwiches, which I love having an option for. Give it a try, it’s not a chain store, the prices are pretty decent for the serving sizes and the owners are very nice people who always want to help if they do get something wrong.
Got the double pack (crumbed) swapped out savs for 5 calamari rings. Owners were helpful and efficient with our order. Food was made fresh, not oily, and delicious. The pineapple fritters were great!
Been on a look out for past 6 months for battered fish and crunchy chips. Found B&M on google, and we are sold. Best tastiest fresh food. Ordered the Seafood Platter and was wowed by the seperate container of fresh salad and sauce. Fish batter tasty, perfect cooked. Chips crunchy soft inside with chicken salt, battered mussels, scallops and the surimi’s stick. Honestly a 20/10. 100% happy we finally found fish and chips like NZ cooked. Friendly service as well. Thank you
