About
Fulham Road Fish Bar is a fish and chip shop serving the Gulliver area, popular with locals, solo diners, and visitors who find themselves hunting for a good feed in Queensland’s northern suburbs. The menu centres on the classics, with fish and chips as the headline act. Chips in particular draw frequent praise, with regulars noting they come out crispy, well-seasoned, and generous in size. Fresh-tasting fish and friendly service from the younger staff also get a regular mention from those who visit.
Results can vary from visit to visit, which is worth keeping in mind, but on a good run the shop delivers exactly what you’d want from a neighbourhood fish bar. Free parking on site makes it an easy stop, and the casual setup suits a quick takeaway as much as a relaxed dine-in. A kids’ menu is available, making it a practical choice for families.
The shop is open for lunch and dinner and does attract a crowd, so expect a short wait during busy periods. Phone ahead if you’re ordering for a group.

DONT GO!! Terrible service, took 26 minutes for 3 sandwiches and they put the scallops in the fryer after they were ready.
Not even peak service time me and 2 other guys.
Staff drag their feet like they don’t wanna be there and the food is average especially for the price. This is the second experience like this, first time I chalked up to not knowing how busy they were but this time I’ve realised this place just sucks.
And after all that the scallops are disgusting, save your money go anywhere else.
It’s Good Friday and all our local fish and chippies are shut! We travelled over to you and we were so happy! Great fish beautifully cooked and generous portions. We never really liked any of our local fish bars. Now we’ve got a fav! Thanks for all your efforts on a very busy shift!
My ideal fish either battered or crumbed should be a golden colour not dark, so my food looked over cooked to start with 🤔 and yes it was! A lovely piece of fish was ruined…very disappointing.
Ordered fish and chips tonight and they where the worst I’ve ever had I’ve worked in a fish n chip shop before so I know how it all works but these guys had no clue on how to cook food was very oily which gave me a stomachache the fish was chewy and the batter wasn’t crunchy it was soft and fluffy which it shouldn’t. However the staff was nice and friendly but the food is terrible and over priced for the quality. Would definitely not recommend as my dog my dog wouldn’t even eat the chips
The best in town man. Wonderful food . Iam really grateful for the food. Thank you
Ordered the $9.60 1/4 scoop of chips and small fish the young girl had amazing service and this meal was so filling!.
The fish tasted fresh, the food wasn’t oily it was really good.
I would definitely get this meal again
Fish was dry as. Prawns were so small they shrivelled up too dry to eat stringy crap. Scallops were tasteless and fell out of the crumbs. Disgusted really. Give the girls an Xtra star for service, you can’t make a silk purse. Should have known, Friday evening and not a person in the shop. Last chance never again.
Our usual fish shop was closed, so decided to go to Fulham Road Fish Bar. Ordered two scoops of chips with gravy. Chips were cooked to perfection with great taste and crunch. Service from junior staff was fantastic. Thank you.
