We shared a Tropical Pack between two people, plus a Pluto pup, and were both very satisfied. Even though it had to sit in the oven for almost an hour, and then opened long enough that it needed a microwave (long story; summation, kids!) before I got to eat it, everything was fresh and delicious. The fish was thick and beautifully cooked, the crumb light, and everything else was equally excellent. I’m not usually a reviewer, but I was so impressed, I had to share. Our new sneaky parent’s takeaway treat!
Chips and crumbed fish were fantastically well cooked. Service was quick and friendly. Have been there over two dozen times now, and they are consistently great.
I know it’s Good Friday and super busy for all fish & chip shops but don’t lie and say an order will take 40mins to an hour and when you turn up after an hour to collect your order be told will be another 40 minutes!! Be honest and say going to be 2 hours so consumers can make informed choice to make an order. Here’s a tip if you are overwhelmed stop taking orders and focus on the orders already have don’t lie and underdeliver in your service!! Appalling service which is shame as food is usually delicious! You have lost me as a customer
Probably the best chips I’ve had with fish and chips. The crumbed fish was excellent too, not oily and tasted great. Glad I decided to come here on a whim. On par with if not better than Kings Rd imo.
Good food, but it comes with a side of snarky attitude from the sour cow owner that leaves an unpleasant taste in the food. Won’t go back.
Great fish and chips, fast service even when there was a big line up
Gave 4 stars because the food is great, and prices are very reasonable. The only reason I didn’t give 5 is because the time estimates are sometimes way off (if they say 25mins, it could be over an hour). I don’t mind waiting around for the great food though, but if I need to run on time (ie get home before the footy starts) ill order elsewhere.
For 7ys I’ve been looking for a nice burger 🍔 in Townsville & TBH most burger joints are crap,No taste full of fat or on top of that your paying an arm & leg for it😬😔 but it’s paid off Golf link’s Fish Bar has the best 🍔 Burgers in Townsville also wraps & general Fish & Chips🐟🍟 Now back to the Burger 🍔 buns fresh, the lot means the lot normally you have too add Beetroot & Pineapple as extras, but not here 😀 now if you like home made Beef patty with flavour, you’ve scored😋 all in all, PERFECT Huge Hamburger full of flavour, not fatty/greasy, the lot means the LOT,& most of all AFFORDABLE 💰 Also this isn’t a one-off because I’ve been coming here for the past 2y & they have never, never had a bad Burger, there quality off taste, affordability, is worth
