About
Loganlea Fish and Chips is a takeaway operation on the south side of Brisbane that has built a loyal following through consistent quality and prices that won’t leave you wincing. The menu leans into the classic Australian chip-shop experience, with crispy chips, hearty burgers, and a Dagwood dog that regulars rate as one of the best around. The burger with the lot is another crowd favourite, generously stacked and priced well for families feeding multiple mouths.
What keeps people coming back is the attention to detail. Long-term regulars report that staff remember preferences and go out of their way to get the food just right, right down to keeping chips crispy for the trip home. For families comparing prices to the Gold Coast, this Loganlea fish and chip shop offers noticeably better value without any drop in quality.
The venue is family-friendly, wheelchair accessible, and has free parking on site, making it a practical stop for lunch or dinner. It is takeaway only, so the focus is entirely on the food. The shop carries a solid four-plus star rating across more than a hundred reviews, a sign that the consistency locals praise is genuinely there.
Phone ahead during the dinner rush if you’re ordering for a crowd.

Honestly one of the best fish and chip shops I have found. The food is always great and the service is impeccable. I’m a regular and get my chips well done. The owner always cuts a hole in my packet to ensure they stay crispy. Love, love, love this shop!
If you’ve been searching for deep fried food that tastes like it did 20 years ago then this is the place to go. The Steak Works burgers were amazing, steak that actually covered the whole bun and tasted great at a cheap price.
Highly recommend this place
We’ve ordered out a few times and it’s been good for the most part, except for our most recent order on May 26. Nothing felt fresh (calamari, battered cod, chips), we certainly didn’t feel like we got what we paid for, and overall, it was disappointing enough to not make me want to go back 😔
The chicken and chips here are genuinely delicious, though the prices are a bit on the higher side as a result. The staff and owners seem a bit weary, and the overall atmosphere is average to below-average. But in my experience; the quality of the food really makes up for the less-than-ideal ambiance.
First time here tonight. Fantastic food at a good price.
Staff seem friendly enough. Over worked maybe. Could maybe use another staff member. Ambience is very average but you’re only there to pick up the food.
And pick up the food we shall again. Well worth it. Best around in my opinion.
Compared to what I was used to on the gold coast, this place is much cheaper to purchase for a family of 3. The chips were the perfect amount of crispy, the burger with the lot was pretty big and probably the best Dagwood dog I’ve had in a long time
Great mum and dad fish and chip shop. Always good fresh food.
The food was great except for the pineapple fitter, which was all batter and the pineapple inside tasted off and gooey.
