About
Siv’s Seafood Restaurant is a casual seafood venue in Mount Pleasant, Queensland, offering dine-in, takeaway, and delivery for both lunch and dinner. The space is well suited to families and groups, with wheelchair access and free parking on site. Card and mobile payments are accepted, and a kids’ menu rounds out the family-friendly setup.
The menu leans heavily into seafood, with crumbed calamari, salt and pepper calamari, prawn cutlets, sea scallops, oysters, and seafood sticks among the confirmed highlights. Regulars tend to favour the calamari and potato scallops, and on a good visit the chips are well regarded too.
Consistency does appear to vary. Some visits draw praise for well-cooked food and friendly counter staff, while other recent reports flag concerns around fish quality, portion sizes, and the occasional overcooked scallop. Keep this in mind if you’re ordering for a larger group or during busy periods. Phone ahead for orders during the dinner rush.

Appalling. Spend $44 to receive fish that wasn’t cooked properly and a family fries that was literally just a handful of chips. We waited for an hour. I called and the service was even more awful than the quality of food…
The shop is nice and clean, the food is so yummy perfect cooked. The potato scallop and calamari is my favourite.👍
Never been disappointed until tonight. We had our usual coral trout, 4 pieces, calamari and chips. We thought the oil was not fresh and the coral trout seemed old, dry, tough and in parts raw flour inside, although the fish was cooked. Not up to the standard we expected. Sunday night, busy night but that us No excuse to drop your standard. We are repeating stale oil after our meal tonight. What a shame, we always loved Sivs before. SAD
Food is good most times however sometimes the potato scallops are often over cooked and dry and fish has been dry from being overcooked. Also the opening hours, would be good if they were open at 3 pm instead of 4.30 pm. Most other fish and chips shops are open all day which is more flexible for customers.
Worst fish and chips I’ve had in a long time.
They haven’t bothered to put chicken salt or anything on the chips.
The grilled fish had no salt or pepper or anything at all on it so it was tasteless and overcooked.
The salad was just tinned beetroot and pineapple on lettuce with soggy tomato given to me in a broken take away container so it leaked everywhere in the car
Such a waste of time and money I don’t recommend bothering with this place at all, such a disappointment especially for me as I have strict dietary requirements and I rarely get take out as it is .
I recently visited this fish and chip shop and, honestly, the seating area wasn’t very clean at all. It really makes you feel uncomfortable to even want to eat the food there, because you start wondering what the back of house looks like if the front area is in that state. I think they really need to step it up in terms of cleanliness and overall customer appeal. I’ll actually be filing a complaint with Queensland Health because these cleanliness standards really need some attention.
Ordered battered mackerel and it tasted like it was from a box out of the freezer. I am certain that it was pre battered from a factory somewhere. Its a shame because it used to fairly good here. Chips where good and the young fella behind the counter was nice.
