I’m thrilled that this spot is under new ownership. It’s already making a positive difference! I went for the “fish for two” option, which cost me about $28.
The two battered fish fillets were impressively large, practically bursting out of the brown bag. They were evenly coated and cooked nicely. The chips were a slightly overdone but still tasty, especially with decent amount of chicken salt. The tartar sauce stole the show light with a tangy vinegarly kick that refreshed my palate and had me craving more bites.
Portions are incredibly generous; I’m a big chip fan, but even I couldn’t finish them all. The staff’s friendly smiles were a nice bonus. Keep up the great work, team—I’ll be back to try the chuck and burgers next!
Ps: here are the menu and prices 😋 👌
Got a hamburger and steak burger. Not happy with either. Hamburger raw in the middle. Steak burger fell apart with me trying to take a bite of the steak which was like rubber and couldn’t chew it. Definitely not worth the money. Bought two burgers and drinks for $40.
Owners did contact us and issued a refund..
Got take away, was ready right on time. Food was really good, classic take away burger kinda vibe.
Dingers on Tor is a relatively new addition to Toowoomba’s takeaway scene, and it’s already offering more variety than you’d expect from a suburban shop. Beyond the usual fish and chips, the menu stretches into burgers, rotisserie chicken, and a solid range of hot box items.
Service was warm and attentive — the young woman at the counter took our order accurately, and while there was a short wait, it was nothing out of the ordinary for a lunch run. Portions were generous for the price, and between us we covered a good spread: fish and chips with onion rings, a burger, and chicken and chips.
The batter on the fish was light and even, and the onion rings had that crunch you hope for. The only drawback was the frying oil, which tasted a little past its prime and left a faint acrid note on the fried items. It didn’t ruin the meal, but it was noticeable.
All up, though, Dingers on Tor delivered a solid feed with friendly service and good value. With fresher oil in the fryer, it would easily be a local favourite.
We ordered veggie burger, mayonnaise and sweet chili sauce. It was delicious.
Food was cooked great, young man on the counter on Friday night was incredible treating me with nothing but respect. Will recommend to all my friends
Food and service was great. When it was open. Went up on a Sunday. Supposed to be open until 8. Closed before 6. Disappointed. Had to go elsewhere
