About
O.T. Fish & Chips & Convenience Store is a takeaway spot in Redbank Plains serving the local community for lunch and dinner across the week. Attached to a convenience store, the shop keeps things casual and accessible, with free parking on site and wheelchair access available. Families are well catered for, with a kids’ menu alongside the main offerings.
The menu covers the classics you’d expect from a Redbank Plains fish and chip shop, including fish and chips, burgers, potato scallops, cod, chicken nuggets, and gravy. The chicken wings in particular have earned a following, with regulars noting they arrive hot, stay crispy, and are cooked in quality oil. The crumbed fish has also surprised a few sceptics, coming across as a solid option even for those who don’t usually seek it out.
The shop carries decent reviews across a solid number of visits, suggesting the food itself is a reliable draw for the area. Service experiences have been mixed, with some staff praised for being friendly while others have drawn criticism. Online orders are available, though it pays to confirm the order has been received before heading in for pickup.
Takeaway only, open seven days including split lunch and dinner shifts on most days. Suitable for families and easy to reach. Check the hours below before making the trip.

The chicken we ordered was really good, it arrived warm meaning we could immediately serve it to our party guests without needing to heat it up again. Pretty crunchy and I could tell they use good quality oil to cook the chicken. Their chips and gravy was also yummy! Well done guys.
An edible Dagwood dogs chips were burnt only regular salt not chicken salt burger only had little bit of lettuce and tiny bit of tomato could’ve been better and say could the rest of the food
I literally wasted my $26 on the small family pack, my fish and chips was sooo greeeesssyyy. I asked what fish they use and the new workers there say they don’t know. When I got my food, I asked didn’t this bundle come with gravy, they said no and I pointed @ the menu behind them and they gave me my gravy.
I got home and my dad said this is battered shark not fish.
Sooo never again coming to this place, I wasted my money and time here.
The food was good – fresh. The man is nice but the other worker (lady) is rude! Made an online order and went to pick up. Lady had an attitude from the start and accused us of not placing an order only to find out their machine was off.
Have always liked this take away shop until tonight. I would like to point out that the oil being used has seemed to not have been changed tonight, and has made the food disgusting. My chips and chicken were way too oily and tasted like they were cooked in the same fryers, which by the way creates CROSS CONTAMINATION ! Something that shouldn’t be happening at all. Meats should be cooked separately, ESPECIALLY chicken !! The food did not taste appealing at all, and just tasted like old oil. Came in to get my chips replaced, and somehow they still came back tasting the same as the first batch, very disappointing. Please replace your oil and make sure all fryers and other instruments being used for cooking are cleaned out. Thank you.
Literally across the road from us.
Will not go here anymore.
Oil tasted like it hasn’t been changed in months. Outside of chips cooked to the point there was nothing on inside.
Ordered family pack was advised that they only had crumbed fish. Also ordered chicken wings aswell.
Im not a fan of crumbed fish so I didnt have high expectations, to my suprise the crumbed fish wasn’t too bad.
The chicken wings are top tier.
Will definently be returning! Well done to the male worker who was working alone this evening smashing out customers orders.
Chicken Wings & Chips are 🔥🎯
Service was great, shop is a little run down but it’s really not about that. Will be returning in the near future for sure!
