I havent come across a proper burger for a long long time. It reminded me of the good old traditional Aussie/kiwi burgers of the 80s/90s.
Good size fresh burger buns with fresh crispy salad good size beef patty not all greasy with nice crispy on the outside and soft on the inside hot chips (not like shoe string fries). So good!
The owner is a local Aussie who’s family have been in the takeaway business for a couple of decades, but since COVID19 have struggled to get back on its feet.
We will definitely return, and knowing that its a local family owned business, gives me more pleasure to support them.

Joan’s Kitchen is my go-to spot I usually grab the all day breakfast for just $10, and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh, tasty, and great value for money.
The staff are lovely and welcoming, and the atmosphere makes it a really comfortable place to eat. It’s simple, affordable, and always hits the spot.

Wow. Just ate the best burger on the coast. A little hideaway in the industrial area worth stopping at. Honestly it tastes awesome and I’ve got the sweats halfway through. I’m coming here as much as I possibly can
Joan’s has THE best freshest, tastiest, mouth-watering bacon and egg sandwich on chunky white bread. Make sure to have BBQ sauce and cheese! I just wish it was open earlier as we can’t always get there after 7.30am, so it’s a rare occasion, but well worth it
Wanted a traditional take away shop to grab a proper bacon and egg roll before we hit the road to travel back home. Saw good reviews for Joan’s Kitchen so we stopped there. So glad we did. The food was just like home made. The (I’m assuming) owners were so friendly. The shop was clean and welcoming. We definitely will be back when in the area again.
