Walking around the strip of shops at Wellington Point and came across this little shop. “Best Fish and Chips in the Redlands”?, Sure why not… Got the seafood platter for 2 and came out piping hot!! 👍🏼👍🏼
The fish was good but the chips we super yummy! Loved them the most and the Calamari rings were pretty good too
Definitely recommend this one 👍🏼
Decent portion size, value for money. Love the beer batter chips! I can tell the owner of the shop has showed good care and paid attention to the details to his business. AS none of the tourist attraction fish and chips shop use such high quality chips.
Calamari rings are tender scallops are really fresh, large size prawns are used.
One of the best fish and chips shops I have ever visited.
Well done!
I Was really looking forward to a nice fish and chip dinner, but unfortunately, my experience was incredibly disappointing. I chose this place based on a recommendation, but I was met with some serious issues.
First, the size of the crumbed fish I was sold was shockingly small, especially considering the price and what was advertised. It was about half the size I’ve come to expect for a standard portion. This felt very misleading and poor value for money. Chips N kids nuggets frozen and not worth the price paid for it.
Even more frustrating was the staff’s approach. When I was trying to place my order, the person serving me was pushy and seemed more interested in upselling me to things I didn’t want rather than listening to my actual request. Later on he’s telling me that I am supervising him on how to salt fish n chips.
Overall, the combination of a disappointing product and a poor customer service experience means I won’t be returning.
Well, what a gem we found here. My wife and I are from Yamba in NSW, so we are used to fresh seafood. We had some of the freshest tastiest snapper from this fish and chip shop today Would highly recommended. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.
Great best tasting fish in the area, lovely friendly service and quick also. Friendly staff
Lives up to the name. Think crispy batter, very decent chips and the works burger was huge and tasty. First time here and during eating I said to my partner this what I would travel for, in our case about 20 minutes from Redland Bay. Well worth it.
Absolutely top-tier fish and chips! The fish was perfectly cooked — crispy, golden batter on the outside and fresh, flaky fish on the inside. Chips were hot, crunchy, and seasoned just right, not greasy at all. Portions were generous and great value for money. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and service was quick even during busy times. Easily one of the best fish and chips spots around — I’ll definitely be back again. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My goodness . As soon as I moved the piece of fish from the container to my plate at home , the perch , which I would describe as small ,came straight out of the bread crumb “shell”.
Breadcumb shell and fish next to it? .Do these people know the crumbing basics?.
If its the best in the Redlands I’d hate to see the worst .
