About
Christies Too Fish & Chips is a well-regarded fish and chip shop in Wooloowin, Queensland, serving the local community with a menu that spans breakfast through to dessert. The shop carries a solid four-plus star reputation across a healthy number of reviews, and it’s clear that regulars return for good reason.
The signature dish here is grilled or crumbed fish, and the kitchen does both well. Crumbed cod wrapped in paper the old-fashioned way has drawn genuine praise, and the chips, seasoned with chicken salt, come out crispy and generous. Pineapple fritters round out the sweet side of the menu. Prices are kept accessible, making it a practical choice for families and groups alike, with a kids menu on offer to match.
What separates Christies Too from many suburban fish and chip shops is the atmosphere and longevity of the experience. The decor and style of service have remained consistent over decades, and that consistency clearly means something to the people who grew up eating here. New arrivals to Brisbane have found it just as welcoming, with staff noted for their friendliness and genuine care. One delivery mix-up was resolved by a staff member hand-delivering the missing item, which says a fair bit about how the shop operates.
Dine-in is available with outdoor and rooftop seating, reservations are accepted, and the shop also offers takeaway and delivery. Free street parking is nearby. Phone ahead for larger groups or busy dinner service.

Probably one of the best fish and chips I’ve had. Awesome food, friendly staff and reasonable prices. There’s nothing more to ask.
Great customer service. I ordered through Doordash and one order was missing. So I immediately called the shop and they were apologetic. Since I can’t pick it up, they sent one of their staff to deliver the missing item to my home. Ordered the Christies Pack – fish is firm and tasty. Not a fan of the seafood stick but the rest of the items in the pack are tasty. Though fries can be improved to avoid getting soggy.
Chips were OK. The standard has dropped tremendously. The ratings are out of date. It must have changed ownership. Below par, soggy battered fish, nothing fresh or crispy at all. Fish was not fresh nor the calamari. The worst fish and chips I’ve had in a very long time. We will not be back, the owners should watch some YouTube cooking videos and improve their batter and freshness. Overall 1.5 stars… the extra 0.5 because of the chips and real lemons. If you want good fish and chips try fish’s fish market at Newstead or the spotted cod, Everton park.
A great corner shop in the neighborhood. Fish and food is good in general and all in reasonable prices. Visit quite often after we moved to Brisbane.
Fantastic old fashioned fish and chips! We thoroughly enjoyed our crumbed cod and chips, all wrapped up in paper as it should be. Fantastic value for money and the staff were all super friendly. We have just moved into the area and we are stoked that this is our local fish and chip shop. We will be back!!
Walked in after not going there for 30 years ….. Exactly as I remember. WOW. The young guys were friendly and the food took me back to my childhood. Thank you for not changing the decor 😁
We order Christie’s almost weekly on Uber Eats. The food is always hot, fresh, delicious, and to make it even more impressive, it’s consistently quick too! I’m usually not one to like fish, but Christie’s has converted me to a crumbed cod lover! This must be the best fish and chip shop in Brisbane. See you guys in 2026!
We’d heard good things about this place and were really looking forward to trying it. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with our recent order. The fish didn’t appear fresh at all and had a faint off smell. In particular the crumbed fish and potato scallops were thin and overcooked. We’d had better frozen supermarket fish. Wasn’t very cheap either so really would’ve hoped for better.
