About
Clearview Fish and Chips Shop is a popular takeaway and delivery spot in Clearview, South Australia, known for serving up generous portions at prices that are hard to argue with. The fish is a highlight for many regulars, with large pieces available at a notably low price point, and the chips are consistently praised for coming out crunchy and fresh rather than soggy and forgotten, which is more common than it should be at many shops.
A few things set the experience apart in a practical way. The food arrives wrapped in paper, keeping everything hot, and the fisherman’s basket offers solid value for a larger feed. Service can vary, but there are plenty of accounts of staff going out of their way to help, which leaves a good impression on first-time visitors.
For anyone in the Adelaide northern suburbs looking for a straightforward fish and chip shop that delivers on the basics, Clearview is worth keeping in the mix. Portion sizes are generous, the pricing is accessible, and both takeaway and delivery options are available for lunch and dinner. Parking is free on site, and the shop accepts both cash and card.

Well got the fisherman’s bucket for 27$ from the “best fish n chips” 🤣 Not bad actually. I wouldn’t be too harsh on rating as this is just seafood and chips, not plates from 5 stars hotel. Best thing is, the food wrap is burning hot. Can still feel the “second degree burnt mark” on my thighs on the drive way home. Lol. Guys, enjoy ur food while they are hot. Don’t wait too long until it soggy and rate low marks. Because u brought that for yourself. But still, feel the scallop and calamari could be more fresh. For some reason my calamari taste a bit dry.
Adelaide’s best fish and chips place. Not only is fish tasty but so are the chips which most places tend to overlook. Look what i got for $7.50!
Sign above store says $7 fish & chips. This has now gone up to $8, As with everything else things have gone up, so I was happy to pay this. Not happy however with the 50c charge for using eftpos.
The crumbs on fish is very thick & dry
Old-school local spot with decent fish and chips… portions are fair and the chips are usually crunchy and fresh. Fish is hit or miss depending on the day, but not bad for the price.
Shop could use a bit of a clean-up… it feels a bit tired inside. Service is friendly, just not super fast. Good enough if you’re nearby and craving something greasy.
Well, that was terrible… 1st and last time eating here. Chicken schnitzel burger….crumb was thicker than the chewy meat and burnt. Crab stick tasted bad aswell. Obviously the oil is old and needs to be changed asap. Keep on driving to the next joint. 1 Star 🌟
Called to order a pick up and they answered “YES?!” In a very rude tone and I said “that isn’t how you greet customers” and he stated “WHAT DO U WANT!” And I said “you have terrible customer service” and he said “sorry I’m tired” and hung up on me. Stupid business no wonder u are rated so badly
Just ate from here for the first time. Quick friendly service. Massive fish for $7 only. Left our tartare sauce behind and the lovely girl ran out to our car with it to hand it to us. 100٪ will be returning when next around this area. 👍👍👍👍👍
This is one of the best fish and chips shops that I have been to in a long time. They still wrap your food in paper like the good old days. And the prices are great to. I’m extremely happy with the quality of the food. Large pieces of fish good amount of chips cooked well not greasy. I recommend if you’re looking for a good takeaway shop try this one. You will not be disappointed. And the customer services friendly and professional. I will be returning again.
