About
Collinswood Chicken and Seafood is a well-rated fish and chip shop in Collinswood, South Australia, with a solid four-plus-star reputation built across nearly 300 reviews. The menu leans into the classics: chicken and chips is the signature dish, and the broader spread covers fish and chips, seafood, and yiros. Regulars also call out the house-made rice pudding as something genuinely worth ordering.
The shop carries a traditional feel that long-time fans of old-fashioned fish and chip shops will appreciate. Chips are made fresh to order, the chicken is consistently praised, and the seafood and salad selection gives the menu real range. Friendly staff and quick service are recurring themes, and prices are noted as fair for the quality on offer.
The venue suits families well, with a kids’ menu, outdoor seating, dine-in and takeaway available, plus delivery for those who prefer to eat at home. Free parking and full wheelchair access make it an easy stop. Some recent delivery orders have drawn criticism for cold chips and missing items, so collecting in person is the more reliable option if you want the food at its best.

I tried the AB pack and didn’t care much for the taste. It tasted a bit sweet.
Other than that everything was good. The serve size was great, the order came quick and there was plenty of meat in the pack.
I would try something other than an AB from here.
Best take away ever, have tried their chicken & chips, fish & chips and their yiros. Beautiful service and good value! Not the closest to where I live but worth the trip every time.
This place is great. It’s an old fashioned fish and chip shop like we had in the 1970s, and the fish and chips are the best I’ve had since I left Mercia. The service was first rate, and the lads and I appreciate a good feed after a battle. Cheers to you, fish and chips shop. 😁👍 Here’s a photo of me and the lads (I’m the sexy one).
Staying local for the Supercars and stumbled across this place on a couple of nights back and now we’re up for seconds. Friendly staff, fresh chickens and a great selection of seafood and salads. The home made rice pudding is next level also. Which we had a shop like this near home.
Ordered through uber eats the night missing items chips and two cokes hence went trough uber to get a refund they said i am not liable for a refund, even provided them a photo and still will not refund. I cant believe you dont know your own bundles or the driver has stolen another bag of contents. I will be taking my business elsewhere not happy at all whoever is to blame and now i will be using doordash from now on and the photo depicts of what i recieved missing chips and two cokes from your bundle
Phone call order, its clearly old chip, hard, and old color. Fish is not freshly fried, not warm. Im surprised when the order was ready so quickly, now I know why. I have ordered so many times but this time is unacceptable when selling old stuff to customers.
Really nice food and service lovely owners.
The chips were made freshly to order and chicken was perfect.
Everything was fairly priced
My family have been regulars for a couple of years now.
But over probably the last 6 months everytime we order (whether it be in person at the store or through uber eats) there is always something missing. Every single time there is food missing. Whether it’s just an item like a single crab stick, a salad once even a whole meal.
It’s not nice to look forward to a treat after both myself and my wife have had a hard day’s work just to be let down by things missing.
We keep giving you guys a go in hopes we get what we paid for but after our last order I don’t think we will be back. What’s the use of having a take out treat if it’s more stressful than cooking a home cooked meal. We’ve never complained in hopes you guys will get it right. But seems it’s getting worse. Your food is great (when we receive all of it) but it’s becoming too common and we are losing out on money.
