About
Caesars Palace Chicken & Seafood is a casual fish and chip shop serving the Evanston and wider Gawler area, with a menu that stretches well beyond the classic battered fish. Alongside chips and butterfish, the kitchen turns out chicken breast nuggets, dim sims, potato fritters, and crab sticks, plus chicken, salads, and vegetarian options. There’s genuinely something for everyone at the table.
The shop is open for lunch and dinner Wednesday through Monday, with dine-in seating, takeaway, and delivery all available. Outdoor seating, a kids’ menu, and wheelchair accessibility make it a practical choice for families or groups with different needs. Free parking and card and mobile payment options add to the convenience.
Regulars broadly speak well of the food, noting that quality tends to be consistent visit to visit and that the flavours hold up across the menu. Portion sizes draw mixed commentary, with some locals finding the value strong and others feeling the pricing sits a little high compared to nearby alternatives. The chips are generally cooked well, and the broader menu variety keeps people coming back.
For anyone after fish and chips in the Evanston area, Caesars Palace offers a solid, family-friendly option with more range than the average takeaway. Check opening hours before heading in, as the shop is closed Tuesdays.

Average service, good food but pricey for portion size compared to other takeaways in Gawler.
Wheelchair ♿ parking and access is available.
We have been here frequently, but this last time will probably be the last time.
I ordered burger with the lot , and one plain burger and medium chips. Tariff price $32.50. I then ordered a can of soft drink and asked for a small pot of BBQ sauce for the chips. The lady rung up $3.50 for sauce . The total was 39.00 .
I’m sorry but $3.50 for a condiment is a rip off !
Schnitzel was a little over done, but still tasted good even if a little dry. Chips under salted, but cooked well and a decent serve.
The drinks fridge really needs price tags. I would never have paid so much for drinks and i been able to see the prices, instead of feeling guilted into buying it, instead of putting it back.
Never a time where the food isn’t good really love this place and great for money!! Keep up the good work guys!
Ordered flake, battered hotdog, hamburger, spring roll and chips.
Food was extremely oily fish, spring rolls and chips all the same. My 3 year old even refused to eat the food
Hamburger was also very soggy
Very disappointed won’t be ordering again
I have been twice now and won’t go back. First time chips were way under cooked and hardly any salt. This time I asked for them to be cooked longer. To be fair, they were. BUT the oil seriously needs changing. The were revolting. Threw them in the bin. Lucy only a small size. I think if the owners stopped talking continuously and fixed their oil and concentrated on their cooking times things may improve 🤔 won’t be going back.
Me and my family have been coming here since the shop opened and they used to make great chips 🍟 but sadly the quality of the chips have been going down hill for some time. Don’t know if it’s due to oil or different potatoes but they are poor quality and prices are getting expensive for poor chips. I ring up and ask if chips are good and yellow in colour and told yes unfortunately, we won’t be coming back I hope you can change whatever it is and start making good chips again as staff and owners are nice and shop is clean.
One word… amazing!
The food served by these wonderful friendly people is second to none!.
2 for 2, delicious and tasty food.
Portion size is great also.
If I could give 6 stars I would. We have found our takeaway location. Why would you even consider frequenting any of the major fast food outlets when you could support what looks to be a family owned establishment of this calibre.
