First time getting fish and chips in a while and found Halla’s staff were very friendly and happy to serve us even though we got there 10 minutes before close time. Our food was quick and freshly made in front of us. The fish and chips were delicious (we got the Hawaiian pack which was very well priced at $22) and a great accompaniment to our beach picnic. We will definitely be back!
Ordered lamb yiros and mixed seafood. Food were really tasty and fresh. Servings were generous and staff were really friendly. Highly recommended and will definitely order again.
We almost drove past, figured we’d stop
In and give it a go.
So glad we did.
The service was great, food was fantastic, standard pricing.
Will definitely be back again!
My partner was craving fish and chips and Hallas Fish and Grill answered the call. We had it for lunch and it was so good we went back a second time for dinner!!
Highly recommend the Hawaiian pack as it comes with a good variety of seafood and you can finish off the meal with a refreshing pineapple fritter!🤤
Generous portions of food, friendly and accommodating staff and decent prices, will be coming back whenever we are craving fish and chips again!😁
Normaly good food, but today fish was broken into pieces the scallops were burnt and the crumbed sausage was missing , for $35.50 it was crap and a total waste of money , our dog would not even eat the scallops. Disappointed
I had a perfect fish & chips experience at Hallas Fish & Grill!
The battered fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside—easily some of the best I’ve had.
The calamari rings were also a standout: light, golden, and not at all rubbery.
You can really taste the freshness and care in their preparation. Friendly service and great portions too.
Highly recommend if you’re craving quality seafood done right!
Could this be Adelaide’s best steak sandwich?
Well, I tell you what, if it’s not the best, it’s bloody close to it!
Firstly, my apologies for the poor pictures. They just don’t do the food justice, but the steak sandwich was so full and so heavy I couldn’t hold it in one hand and take a picture at the same time.
I used to live in the area and Hallas on Grange Road were always great. Their fish and chips, burgers, sides, etc. were always fantastic, but I hadn’t been in a while.
I knew from experience that their steak sandwiches were great, but that was a long time ago and things change. So I popped in recently for lunch.
A steak sandwich, with the lot, and two dim sims with chicken salt.
I waited a reasonable time and finally my steak sandwich was ready. I went to pick it up and the first thing I noticed was that it was HEAVY! ‘This is going to be good,’ I thought to myself.
I found a park bench nearby and started with the dim sims. Straight away I saw that they’d ‘thrown in’ a handful of chips. Something my local Chippy used to do. It’s great customer service and it’s appreciated, thank you!
The chips and dim sims were cooked to a golden perfection and had the perfect amount of salt, excellent. The steak sandwich was almost too big and by the end of it I regretted the dim sims as I could barely finish it.
The steak was plentiful, chopped into small pieces so eating it was easy. It was so packed full that I only have one complaint, if you can call it that. There was almost too much steak!
So much steak that it became hard to eat and needed some extra “lube,” in the fashion of more sauce or something, and I found myself nearly dying of “steak exposure.” Seriously great stuff!
If you’re in the Western suburbs and looking for a great, FILLING, meal at an excellent price, then drop in to Hallas, get the steak sandwich. They’ll look after you and you won’t be disappointed.
Highly recommended
I have been enjoying food from Hallas for many years and has been consistently delicious. The fish is perfect and the hamburgers are bursting with taste and flavour. Always receive a generous amount of chips. Value for money, definitely. The service is friendly. You can place phone orders.
