About
King Neptune’s Seafood and Pasta is a casual takeaway fish and chip shop in Port Lincoln, serving the local community with a menu built around fresh seafood options. The signature dish is flake and chips, and the menu also includes nannygai, snapper, calamari, and prawns. Pricing sits in a range that many visitors from interstate find genuinely competitive, with two serves of fish and chips available for well under twenty-five dollars.
The batter is generally kept light and not overly oily, and when the kitchen is on form, the chips hold up well too. The shop is family-friendly with a kids’ menu, making it a practical stop for families passing through or spending time in the Port Lincoln area. Service is described as friendly and welcoming, and orders tend to come out at a reasonable pace.
A few things are worth keeping in mind. Recent visitors have noted that a number of menu items are currently listed as unavailable, so the selection on any given day may be narrower than expected. Consistency with portion sizes and seasoning has drawn some mixed feedback. Takeaway only, with card payments accepted.
For anyone after fish and chips in Port Lincoln, it can deliver a solid meal at a fair price, particularly for those ordering the flake. Phone ahead to confirm what is available before making the trip.

Enjoyed snapper and chips as well as a calamari, prawns and scallops and chips. The portions were generous. The chips were ok. Prices were reflective of the quality. The server had to be asked to provide napkins and utensils.
I will never recommend to anyone. If you are really hungry never come to this place. It will take donkey age’s to get your food.
Ordered one Neptune special large size cost $22 and Barramundi in Lemon pepper sauce cost $20. We ordered at 1pm and received our food at 2pm. When they give the food, told that they don’t have prawns for pasta and only One Barramundi fish piece and returned $5 which is cost $20 meal. Such a cheep restaurant. Never recommend to anyone
I uploaded the photos. Wasted our money and valuable time
Old school fish and chip shop 👌 great price and great value for money. No chance I’d get two pieces of flake, chips and tartare sauce for $18.50 in Victoria where I live. Flake was cooked nicely. Meal ready in 10 minutes. What more can you ask for.
Staying overnight for work and thought I would grab something locally, rather than the hotel restaurant.
Majority of the menu on the wall is crossed out and says “unavailable”.
Whilst the service was friendly and welcoming, the meal was a complete let down.
The chips were inedible due to the amount of salt/coating on them. The seafood wasnt anything special. Two squeeze packets of tartare provided, which wasnt enough.
For the same $40 I know the hotel meal would have been a much higher standard.
We were a little apprehensive because the reviews weren’t amazing – but we decided to give it a go. We had flake and nannygai, was nice and the batter wasnt too thick and oily.
Chips were real good too. Only $24 for 2 fish and small chips.
The fish was average but the chips were so over salted they went in the bin.
Don’t waste your money, the lemon pieces were completely off! Chips were soggy fish also soggy. We were travelling 8 hours and were really hungry unfortunately the fresh fish place was closed.
Placed a Uber order for 2 flake packs and a apple slaw salad, the driver gets here with 2 flake packs and no salad so I rang and had to almost fight with the manager to get my salad delivered, not good enough, chips not very nice, and when I did get the apple slaw guess what no apple in it 😡
