Batter is too thick on fish pieces, there is a fair amount of fish for the price, no need to have such thick batter (similar for the scallop pieces). Chips were OK. The fish and chip box doesn’t present much value at $15.50, when a piece of fish is $8.70, and handful of chips is $3 (quite a large amount of chips) . chips in the fish box about 20% of the amount you get with handful). Yes you get some sauce and small lettuce salad.
Such a gem. The chips are an absolute bargain! $5 fed two adults and three kids for lunch with enough leftover for dinner. Everything was fresh and yummy and not greasy like some places. Staff were lovely and helpful. Will definitely be back.
Fraggles Fish and Chips serves up some of the best classic fish and chips around. The batter is perfectly crisp and golden without being greasy, and the fish inside is fresh, flaky, and full of flavour. The chips are thick-cut, well-seasoned, and cooked just right — crunchy on the outside and soft inside. Everything tastes freshly made, and the portions are generous too. A great spot for a satisfying, traditional fish and chips experience done right.
Ordered fish, chips, dim sims & a potato cake last night for tea. Chips were black but yet some were raw. All food was so greasy, & chewy. So unpleasant. All of it was inedible. Such a shame, use to be such lovely food. Won’t be coming back again sadly.
Been here a few years ago and the food was amazing. Came back expecting same experience but unfortunately I was let down. The chips were uneatable, they tasted like rubber. Their scallops were the size of a five cent piece. Their gummy shark tasted awful. Only good thing was the grenadier. Very disappointed, was looking forward to it 😞.
Fish was good, chips where terrible, dry and hard. Photo was taken just before I binned them. Also, who the hell charges for salt????
Absolutely delicious seafood basket. Real chips, huge piece of fish, extra large prawns and scallops. Crispy batter and a very generous serve. Would have been heavier on the salt but that’s just me🤣 Also had a pineapple fritter, super yummy and they gave me 2. Highly recommend. I found their prices super reasonable. Minimum chips $3.50
Amazing place with friendly staff. As a tourist, I asked a lot of questions and the girl at the counter was extremely helpful.
The fish burger with the lot was fantastic. Fish and chips also good. And they prepared it for takeaway in less than 15 min. Thank you, you saved our last Tasmanian evening 😌
