Genious idea being open on Mondays, for those of us with cravings outside societies regular trading hours.
Great little shop with all the usual bits. Cheap, but still delicious! Giant potato cakes, lovely fish and chips…and a delicious deep fried Mars Bar!
Soggy chips. had to recook them to make them borderline edible. Dim sim and potato cake went in the bin from both of us. got our order wrong despite me telling them 5 times over the phone. 2 stars as the fish was quite nice and a decent size.
Without a doubt the worst fish and chips shop in the eastern suburbs. The batter is doughy and soft. Chips are hard and brown due to using old oil and not being fresh. Potato cakes were raw and gross on the inside. Have been here twice and never again. Very, very ordinary. You have been warned.
Terrible. Potato cakes were soggy at pick up. No hole in paper to allow crispiness of potato cakes to maintain. I asked for flake fish and we all received fish that wasn’t flake at all. The positive reviews don’t match our experience. Very poor quality.
Soggy chips, did not ask if salt is needed before packing, requested for extra $0.3 for grilling the fish and the fish was grilled with crust on
Unfortunately the fish and chips were not great. Fish was dry and chips soggy and overall quite bland (despite adding salt) I suspect old oil. Service was good and they were quick. Disappointing as they are my local.
Good burgers for $10. Patty is juicy and deliciously seasoned. Service was average.
Dropped into Scorsbey Fish and Chips and honestly had a really good experience. This isn’t the usual fish and chips I grab with my grandma, but I was still super happy with how everything turned out. The service was really friendly from the get-go, which always makes a place feel welcoming.
The flake was really tasty and cooked perfectly, and the chips and potato cakes were spot on — crispy, fluffy, and not oily at all, which is always a win. Everything felt fresh and well done without being heavy or greasy.
It’s pretty much everything you want from a local fish and chip shop: good food, friendly people, and a relaxed, no-fuss vibe. It’s also run by a father and son, which just makes it feel even more genuine. Would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a solid, reliable feed!
