Great takeout place with a huge menu. The prices are a little high, but the serving sizes are also generous, so in that way it makes some sense. Really enjoyed the food I have ordered from there. Quick turnaround, worth the wait.
Cons is a true Brunswick West institution. The new management has seamlessly carried on its legacy, offering the same exceptional quality and freshness the community has always loved. On top of that, the new team is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything right—Cons continues to do just that. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Schnitzel rolls and burgers are still number 1.

We tried Con’s for the first time tonight and everything was delicious. We got the fisherman’s basket, roast pork and gravy roll and minimum chips. Everything was freshly cooked and service was quick. Our favourite was the pork and gravy roll (fresh white roll, tender roast pork and nice gravy sauce) but we’d order everything again. They have an extensive menu so keen to come back and try other items.
Update: we’ve been back twice and food has been consistently good. Really liked the parma and fried chicken burger.
First time trying Con’s. Ordered a schnitzel burger with the lot, schnitzel loaded meat fries, the pork stack loaded meat fries and a couple of dim sims. The shop and equipment were clean and the food was fresh, well cooked and tasty. What we were served actually looked like the photos too, which is not always the case at take away shops. The meals were obviously prepared with a bit of effort and pride, large portions at quite reasonable prices. Thanks for the enjoyable meal, will be back again. Well done.
Tried this place because our previous favourite place Hoffmans Road Fish and Chip is still closed. The hamburger tasted the same as Hoffmans; the way Aussie Burgers meant to be before the Americans ruined it. Fisherman’s Basket was fried to perfection and with fresh oil. Credit / Visa / EFTPOS Cards available with no surcharges.
Since the new management has taken over the quality has improved a lot. Love the new menu options, and great value
