About
@ The Catch Carnegie has built a strong reputation among locals and visitors alike as one of the more impressive fish and chip shops in Carnegie’s dining scene. Open Tuesday through Sunday for both lunch and dinner, the venue covers all bases with dine-in, takeaway, and delivery available, plus outdoor seating and full table service for those who want to sit and eat at their own pace.
The menu goes well beyond a standard fish supper. Crispy chips and lightly battered flake draw regulars back consistently, and the fish of the day pack is known for its generous size. Greek fish cakes served alongside a fresh Greek salad have become a standout combination, and the potato cakes, compact but full of flavour, are worth adding to any order. The Cowboy burger has earned its fans too, with portions described as impressively large. A salad bar and small plates round out the offering, and the kitchen takes dietary requirements and food allergies seriously, which makes a real difference for families and those with specific needs.
Speaking of families, the shop is set up well for them, with high chairs, a kids’ menu, free parking nearby, and wheelchair-accessible facilities including gender-neutral toilets. Beer and coffee are also on offer for those lingering over a meal.
With a well over four-and-a-half star rating from a solid base of diners, @ The Catch has earned genuine praise from people who don’t ordinarily seek out fish and chips and find themselves converted. Phone ahead during busy dinner service to avoid a wait.

Great quality food. Crispy Chips, light tasty fish. The Cowboy burger was large and delicious. The fish of the day pack was large. Fantastic Greek salad. The potato cakes are small but delicious.
The food here is just fabulous. One dish I highly recommend is the greek fish cakes with a Greek salad..just a perfect meal to enjoy.
Burgers are also great..
I see why the locals love this fish and chip shop.Food is excellent, had calamari rings ,potato cakes,Greek salad and the fish dinner. Service was very friendly and efficient. Will most definitely be going back again.
Found a hidden gem restaurant 💎, one of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. All the dishes are perfectly cooked. Honestly speaking, I’m not a fan of fish and chips at all, but the fish and chips here make me come back again. Very friendly service, Even though it’s an open kitchen, I don’t smell oil. The calamari we ordered was very tender. Don’t forget the fish cake, The fish cake we tried has a unique texture. One of the extraordinary ones here is there’s no fishy smell in the food served here. Fried fish with bread crumbs is a menu that you should try. Recommended 👍. The bread crumbs really good.
But the tar tar sauce standart taste.
Still a five star food for fish and chips 👍🤩
The food we ordered :
– fish of the day ( bread crumbs )
– dori / fried
– taco calamari
– calamari ring
– coleslaw
– greek salad
– fish cake
– Large chips
Thank you for all the dishes. So good !!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Every time we have ordered from @ The Catch, the service has been exceptional and food wonderful. They are very diligent with food allergies and dietary requirements. Fish is always cooked to perfection with thin batter and tender flake. The burger is huge and delicious. This is now our go to place for fish and chips and affordable dinners!
Nice food. The chips is good. I guess he made it from raw potatoes himself by using potato cutter. The shapes of chips are not uniform, I can tell. Friendly service 👍🏻👍🏻, he even set the temperature warmer
This place is a gem.
The staff are absolute sweethearts and the service is always speedy!
The chips especially are deliciously crispy and always my go to for a snack. There’s many good options on the menu and portion sizes are great value.
Fantastic little fish and chippery.
A nice fish and chips place tucked away on koornang road.
I like the decor very much and it suits the business nicely. However, i do not think i will get used to bland batters, my palette will forever seek spices! I tried the red snapper fry and three of the hotdogs. I think i should have opted for a sauce alongside to make it more palatable for me.
I am aware how much a lot of you out there appreciate fish and chips. So, try them out if you fancy.
My son said its the best burger he has ever had. And mine is up there too! Great fresh food and great service. Can’t wait to come back!!
